Indeed, the grundbreaking technlgy prvides a new perspective f the animal kingdm. New cameras with enugh battery life t sht fr hurs at a time were designed t be cmfrtable enugh fr animals t wear. The technical challenges didn’t stp there. Sme animals were very curius abut the equipment, with sme even fighting each ther fr the chance t wear a camera. In the case f chimpanzees, “we had t create dummy (仿造的) cameras, s that every chimpanzee culd get ne” the miniseries’ wildlife cameraman Grdn Buchanan tld Live Science.
Fr animals that were cmfrtable enugh t be with human beings, the cameras culd be fitted and remved by hand. But fr thers, the cameras came ff autmatically using a timed release and were cllected afterward. This meant that the cameras can’t be easily brken r trn.
This nature dcumentary arse much attentin. “Ftage that captures these rare and exciting glimpses f animals’ hidden habits is imprtant t scientists, but dcumentaries like Animals with Cameras als resnate with (引起共鸣) audiences, cnnecting them with the beauty — and peril (危险) — f wildlife in their natural envirnments,” Live Science nted.

ChatGPT became the httest issue due t its ability t prduce human-sunding essays, petry, and screenplays n virtually any subject in secnds. Sn after ChatGPT was released, the ptential fr it t be misused t d things such as spread misinfrmatin and write junk mails became apparent. Schls and educatrs als have warned f the ptential fr students t use it t write essays r ther wrk they have been assigned. Last December, the sftware passed all three parts f the U.S. Medical Licensing Examinatin as part f a research experiment.
S the startup, OpenAI behind the viral chatbt, revealed a tl fr detecting text generated by artificial intelligence amid grwing cncerns the technlgy will be abused by cheaters, junk mail senders and thers. OpenAI said that its s-called AI classifier was designed t help peple distinguish between text written by a human versus a range f artificial intelligence prgrams—nt just ChatGPT.
OpenAI said it had schls in mind when develping its latest classifier tl. “We recgnize that identifying AI-written text has been an imprtant pint f discussin amng educatrs, and equally imprtant is recgnizing the limits and impacts f AI-generated text classifiers in the classrm,” it said.
The classifier isn’t gd enugh n its wn, thugh it can be used t g with methds that educatrs, emplyers and thers rely n t determine the surce f a piece f text. In evaluatins, the new tl crrectly identified 26% f AI-written text as “likely AI-written”, while it als had false psitives 9% f the time in which it incrrectly labeled human-written text as AI-written. Anther prblem is that the tl can’t easily tell if a list f facts—U.S. state capitals fr example—was written by a persn r AI, because the crrect answer wuld be the same. AI-written text can als be edited t escape the classifier.
“While it is impssible t reliably detect all AI-written text, classifiers like urs can be updated and re-trained based n successful attacks,” OpenAI said. “But it is unclear whether detectin has an advantage in the lng-term.”
28. ChatGPT’s passing the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam is mentined t ?
A.accunt fr its perating principlesB.illustrate its cmplex structure
C.emphasize its grwing ppularityD.warn against its ptential danger
29.What’s the functin f AI classifier?

B.Identifying the texts generated by AI.
C.Prmting the use f AI in classrm discussin.
D.Arusing educatrs’ awareness f AI-related technlgy.
30.What can be cncluded frm the evaluatin f AI classifier?
A.It is a wrk-in-prgress.
B.It is gd at string factual infrmatin.
C.It can help a jurnalist t edit a text.
D.It is a reliable educatinal tl.
31.What des OpenAI think f AI classifier?
A.It will be reliable after cntinuus self-update and retraining.
B.Whether it can help educatrs in the lng-term is ut f questin.
C.Whether it can slve the prblems as intended remains a questin.
D.It will succeed in detecting all human-written texts in the near future.

My 21-year-ld niece, a secnd-year undergraduate, mentined that she watches vide lectures ffline at twice the nrmal speed. Struck by this, I asked sme ther students I knw. Many nw rutinely speed up their lectures when learning ffline — ften by 1.5 times, smetimes by even mre. Speed learning is nt fr everyne, but there are websites where students discuss hw dd it will be nce they return t the lecture theatre. One cntributr wrte: “Nrmal speed nw sunds like drunk speed.”
Educatin was adapting t the digital wrld lng befre Cvid-19 but, as with s many ther human activities, the pandemic has given learning a huge push twards the virtual. Overnight, schls and universities clsed and teachers and students had t find ways t d what they d nly via the internet. “This is a time fr schls and systems t reimagine educatin withut schling r classrms,” says Prfessr Yng Zha. Dr Jim Watterstn in Australia thinks that, while the traditinal classrm is still alive and well, educatin needs t be mre adventurus and flexible. Earlier this year, Zha and Watterstn c-authred a paper in which they identified sme majr changes that shuld happen in educatin pst-lckdwn.
The first cncerns the cntent, which shuld emphasize such things as creativity, critical thinking and leadership, rather than the cllectin and strage f infrmatin. “Fr humans t prgress in the age f smart machines, it is essential that they d nt cmpete with machines.”, they wrte, “Instead, they need t be mre human.”
The secnd is that students shuld have mre cntrl ver their learning, with the teacher’s rle shifting frm instructr t supervisr f learning resurces, advisr and mtivatr. This is where s-called “active learning” cmes in with a grwing bdy f research suggesting that cmprehensin and memry are better when students learn in a hands-n way — thrugh discussin and interactive technlgies, fr example. It’s als where the cncept f “prductive failure” applies. Prfessr Manu Kapurin argues that students learn better frm their wn r thers’ failed attempts t slve a prblem befre r even instead f being tld hw t slve it.
If the prgress f the times is unable t hld back the cming revlutin in educatin, it seems unlikely that the traditinal classrm is ging t have any luck in its attempts trying t turn back the clck. As Laurillard puts it, “It tk a glbal pandemic t drive hme what we’ve been saying fr 20 years.”
32. By giving examples f “speed learning” in the first paragraph, the authr wants t shw that _________.
A.digital wrld is dramatically refrming the way f learning.
B.speed learning cmpletely replaces nrmal speed learning.
C.returning t the lecture theatre is strange after speed learning.
D.educatin begins t adapt t digital wrld after Cvid-19.
33.Accrding t the passage, which f the fllwing statements is TRUE?
A.It is essential fr smart machines t be mre human.
B.Students shuld pssess mre infrmatin abut creativity.
C.Students value thers’ failure ver their wn failure.
D.“Active learning” calls fr diverse ways f invlvement.
34.Accrding t Zha and Watterstn, the majr changes in educatin shuld include _________.
①learning mde ②learning mtive ③learning attitude ④learning fcus
A.①④B.②③C.①③D.②④
35.Accrding t the passage, what des the authr mst prbably agree with?
A.Speed learning harms students’ learning efficiency.
B.The cming revlutin in educatin is irreversible.
C.Teachers will play a less imprtant rle in the future.
D.The traditinal classrms will eventually disappear.
第二节(共5小题:每小题2.5分,满分12.5分)
阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
If yu are f the “n regrets” schl f life, yu might think that all this regret is a recipe fr unhappiness. But that isn’t the case. True, letting yurself be verwhelmed by regret is indeed bad fr yu. But ging t the ther extreme may be even wrse. T extinguish yur regrets desn’t free yu frm shame r srrw; it cnsigns yu t make the same mistakes again and again. T truly get ver ur guilt requires that we put regret in its prper place.
As uncmfrtable as it is, regret is an amazing cgnitive feat. It requires that yu g back t a past scenari, imagine that yu acted differently t change it, and with that new scenari in mind, arrive at a different present — and then, cmpare that fictinal present with the ne yu are experiencing in reality. 36 Yu wuld remember yur wn pettiness and irritability, and then imagine yurself shwing mre patience, being kind instead f hurtful at key mments. Then yu wuld fast-frward t tday and see hw yur relatinship culd be flurishing instead f languishing.
37 Pink says they cme in fur basic varieties, and an instance f regret may invlve just ne r a cmbinatin. Wishing yu’d been kinder t yur partner is an example f a cnnectin regret, in which yu lament behavir that harmed an imprtant relatinship, such as spiling a rmance r neglecting yur bnd with relatives befre they died.
Many cnnectin regrets verlap with mral regrets, which can cme abut after yu vilate yur wn values. Fr example, yu may pride yurself n being a lving persn, and thus regret nt living up t this image in the relatinship yu harmed. Mral regrets can als invlve just yurself. 38
Pink’s ther tw categries f regrets invlve life chices. Fundatin regrets are thse in which yu did smething that affected the curse f yur life in a way yu dn’t like. A classic example is wishing yu had stayed in schl. 39 . They are all abut inactin and frgne pprtunities. This is what yu feel when yu kick yurself fr nt taking a chance, as in wishing yu had just gne up t that attractive persn and intrduced yurself.
40 Regret is implicated in depressin and anxiety, and excessive regret can adversely affect yur hrmnes and immune system. In 2013, researchers asked ne grup f participants in an experiment t describe “yur mst burdensme regret” right befre ging t bed; this grup tk 61 percent lnger t get t sleep than a grup tld t think abut a typical day.
But regret desn’t have t be left unmanaged. The trick is nt t remve the bad feeling; it’s t acknwledge it and use it fr learning and imprvement. Instead f letting the specter f yur failed relatinship make yu miserable, by simply wishing it had tuned ut differently yu can be hnest with yurself abut what went wrng and use that knwledge t enjy better relatinships in the future.
A.Nt all regrets are the same f curse.
B.Meanwhile, bldness regrets are the ppsite.
C.Regret may hurt, but bsessing ver them is destructive.
D.Yur regret can teach yu t becme smarter and mre successful — if yu let it.
E.Unanalyzed and unmanaged, any variety f regret can be pisn fr yur well-being.
F.Maybe yu regret nt living up t yur cmmitment t yur health when yu ate a whle pizza r skipped the gym.
G.Fr example, if tday yur relatinship with yur partner has sured, yur regret might mentally take yu back t last year.
