The research also showed 62 percent of primary school students and 72 percent of secondary school students would prefer to wear a sports uniform five days a week. We think sports uniforms should be worn five days a week and that would be a saving of $167 for primary students and $363 for secondary students in Victoria Mr. Mclaughlin said. “Sports uniforms are cheaper than traditional uniforms. Most sports uniforms consist of a tracksuit, a polo shirt with a school logo, sport shorts and trainers.”He said older students strongly agreed they would be more active wearing sports uniforms due to traditional uniforms being “too uncomfortable” “The sports uniforms make it easier for students to engage in more physical activity. An example of this is girls being able to play on monkey bars without having to worry about exposing their underwear while going upside down. They can already see from a young age that this sets them apart from the boys.”Geoff Roberts said his school's students had been wearing an “active wear uniform” since the start of the year. It's incredibly popular with students. It's everyday comfort, easy to wash and dry and genderdiverse he said. It had increased the students' activity levels at lunch and recess.Independent Schools Victoria chief executive Michelle Green said independent schools set their own uniform policies and had adopted a wide range of approaches. Some don't prescribe (规定) a uniform at all Ms Green said. In recent years there has been a trend among many schools towards more flexible and in some cases more informal policies on uniforms. This has included genderneutral options and uniforms that don't restrict physical activity, particularly for girls.1What do the numbers in Paragraph 2 reflect?AThe support from parents for schooling.BThe urge to change school rules.CThe demand for more exercise.DThe recognition of sportswear.2Why do students prefer sportswear at school?AThey can do the activity more conveniently.BThey can develop a sense of confidence.CThey can be more active in class.DThey can have a feeling of belonging.3What can we infer from Ms Green's words?AIt is informal to wear sports clothes.BUniform policies are becoming flexible.CUniforms are suitable for every student.DBoys suffer a lot from wearing uniforms.4What is the best title for the text?AChange Your School Uniforms at OnceBChoose Suitable Clothes for StudentsCAbandon School Uniforms for SportswearDWear Sports Uniforms for More ExerciseB[2022·东北师大附中等三校高三第一次联合模拟考试]While watching videos on Douyin one day, I discovered a very unique profile: an 88yearold farmer livestreaming trendy products in a rural setting. I clicked his page and saw that he was livestreaming because he needed to pay for his wife's medical expenses. Curious, I decided to contact him and learn more about his story.Wu used to be a farmer, but now he relies on the government allowance. One rainy day, he returned to his shabby onefloor cottage in the suburb of Henan Province and found his wife lying on the ground in great pain. She had broken her leg and lost the ability to walk.A great burden befell this already disadvantaged family. The medical expenses for Wu's wife were about 800 yuan per month. Her daughter, a mother of three and a housewife, had no means of supporting Wu financially. As a heavy user on Douyin, Wu's daughter thought that perhaps they could try livestreaming as a way to help their family. With a 9.9 yuan phone holder, they began livestreaming on Douyin, and Wu became one of the oldest livestreamers on the platform.Every day, Wu livestreams for a total of six hours, separated into morning and afternoon sessions. With a broad smile and comforting voice, he explains the products on his table, which range from water bottles, makeup removers and vegetables to traditional Chinese clothing that Wu wears himself in front of the camera. Thousands of viewers are drawn by his moving story and kindly personality. They refer to him affectionately as “my uncle Wu” or “Laoxiang”During my interview with him, Wu would laugh warmly. His strong Henan dialect was sometimes hard to understand, but his tone was full of comfort and optimism. He also does not avoid showing affection for his wife, “I will buy her good food when I have the money.” I am moved by his ability to see the optimistic side of life despite being influenced by hardships and his persistence that makes him sail through the low tides of life.5Wu's videos are intended to ________Ashow love to his pitiful wifeBadvertise the beautiful countrysideC.make money by promoting various productsDhelp the poor by drawing public attention6What can we know about Wu's family?AHis daughter manages to offer financial assistance.BThey have got out of poverty by livestreaming.C.His daughter is a professional Douyin livestreamer.DThey have difficulty in covering the medical expenses.7What attracts viewers to Wu's livestreaming?AHis rich experience on the platform.BHis amusing Henan accent.CHis good nature and touching story.DHis successful marketing techniques.8Which can be a suitable title for the text?AAn Elderly Farmer LivestreamerBA Kindly and Helpful HusbandCA Popular ApplicationDA Way to Cope with PovertyC[2022·太原市高三统一考试]If you're gathering your teenage kids in the living room to watch TheFalconandtheWinterSoldier on Disney+,just know there's a good chance that they'd rather be playing Fortnite, a popular game. That could totally be the case according to a new study from a consulting firm in Deloitte, which analyzed the generational divide in  athome entertainment. The study, based on an online survey of more than 2000 consumersshowed preferences are changing rapidly between millennials and the younger generation when it comes to how they want to spend their leisure time. For Gen Zers, defined as those born from 1995 to 2009, videos—whether movies or television shows—are not a priority, the study found. 26% of Gen Zers in the survey regarded playing video games as their favorite entertainment activity, compared to 14% of listening to music, 12% of browsing the Internet and 11% of engaging on social media. Only 10% said they would rather watch a movie or TV show at home. That compares to millennials (born 1984 to 1995), 18% of whom chose to watch movies and TV shows as their preferred mode of entertainment. Video games were the entertainment option of choice for 16% of millennials.Gen Zers would much rather spend time playing games, listening to music or using social media Jana Arbanas, entertainment leader at Deloitte, said. “That was a really alarming contrast that we saw relative to the shift that's happening and it's clear that Gen Zers will impact this industry.”Millennials took the behavior they developed as teenagers, and they've taken them forward into their early 30s, and so if Gen Zers are anything like that, their behavior may change slightly, but I don't see a complete change out of their behavior said Kevin Westcott, a technology, media and telecom leader. 9What does Paragraph 1 tell us about teenagers today?AThey are addicted to Fortnite.BThey prefer games to movies.CThey don't like being told what to do.DThey tend to spend leisure time alone.10How will the entertainment industry develop according to Jana Arbanas?AIt will offer fewer games and more music.BIt will see a decline in the use of social media.CIt will be impacted by the need of millennials.DIt will be influenced by the preference of Gen Zers.11What can we infer about Gen Zers from Kevin Westcott's words?AThey may outgrow their behavior over time.BThey'll stop watching movies and TV shows.CThey may not change much in their behavior.DThey'll develop the same behavior as millennials.12Where is the text mostly taken from?AA medical report.BA shopping website.CA popular newspaper.DA work of entertainment fiction. The research also...days a week可知,调查还显示,62%的小学生和72%的中学生更愿意一周五天穿运动服。 In recent years...policies on uniforms可知,Green女士认为近年来许多学校的校服政策有变得更加灵活的趋势。 根据第一段中的an 88yearold farmer...wife's medical expenses和第四段中的which range from...of the camera可知,吴大爷进行视频直播是为了通过促销各种产品挣钱来支付妻子的医疗费用。 That was a really...impact this industry可知,Z世代将影响娱乐行业。 Millennials took the...of their behavior可知,千禧一代将他们在青少年时期养成的行为习惯带到了30岁出头,所以如果Z世代是那样的人,他们的行为可能会有轻微的改变,但没有完全变化。
