教材分析

该板块的活动主题是“谈论友善的重要性”(Talk about the importance of kindness), 在许多普通人身上，也能发现闪闪发光的品质或美德。此处探讨的表达友善和给予帮助的对象不只是熟悉的、亲近的人，还包括陌生人。该部分主要让学生倾听一个关于爱心传递的故事，随后让他们模仿输出，讲述发生在自己身边的爱心故事，除了培养学生的听说技能外，还渗透了人生观和道德观的培养。通过学习本版块，学会意识到哪怕是一次偶然的帮助，也会给他人和自己带来意想不到的温暖和光亮，通过自己的善行去影响他人，就能创造更好的社会氛围。

教学目标 

1. 了解不同文化背景下人们所共同推崇的美好愿望和道德品质。

2. 能通过所给问题，预测听力内容。

3. 能准确获取细节信息。

4. 能根据时间顺序或事件发生的顺序，讲述善行的故事。

教学重难点

引导学生在听的过程中准确获取细节信息。引导学生掌握叙述故事的要点。

引导学生讲述善行的故事。

教学过程

Step 1 Warming-up

1. Look at the photos below and think of the question. What can make the world better and better?

设计意图：利用图片展示普通人的善行，调动学生视觉参与，明白善行可以创造更好的社会氛围。

Step 2 Pre-listening

1. Before you listen, look at the questions in Activity 1 and predict the content of the listening.

(1) What is the name of the radio show?

(2) What does“paying it forward”mean?

(3) What does the guest want the listeners to do?

设计意图：引导学生根据所列问题，预测听力的内容。

Step 3 While-listening

1. Work on Activity 1. Listen to a radio show and answer these questions.

(1) What is the name of the radio show? 

(2) What does“paying it forward”mean?

(3) What does the guest want the listeners to do?

设计意图：引导学生分析问题，培养学生听取内容大意和关键信息的能力。

2. Work on Activity 2. Listen to the radio show again and fill in the blanks to complete the story.

3. Read the text in Activity 2 and find some expressions that can be used to retell a story. (e.g. conjunctions)

设计意图：为学生提供必要的词汇和背景知识，减少听力焦虑，培养学生获取更多细节的能力；同时也为下面说的任务提供示范。

Step 4 Post-listening

1. Group work:

Enjoy the video and try to retell the story.

设计意图：观看公益广告One day，引导学生运用正确的时态和连接词叙述故事。

2. Work on Activity 3. Think of a story of showing or receiving kindness, either your own story or one that you have heard of. Then share it with your group. Here are some words and expressions that may help you.

设计意图：引导学生运用合适的连接词和句型，叙述自己经历的或知道的善行故事。

Step 5 Assignment

Write a short passage about your own story of showing or receiving kindness.

设计意图：给学生创造机会，结合自己经历合理运用所学知识。
