根据第二段最后两句话“As I came in the door, I found a big smile on my face. From the minute I started, I felt like coming home.(当我进门时,我发现脸上露出了笑容。
根据第三段第二、三句话“Sadly, her parents couldn’t afford ballet classes, for they were first-generation Indian immigrants, struggling to making a living in the UK. Her father was a train driver on the underground in London and her mother held two cleaning jobs. 故选A。
根据最后一段第五句话“Dancing has also brought new friends.

In the old days, when you had to drive to a movie theater or to a video store to get some entertainment, it was easy to see how your actions could have an impact om the environment....driving across town and coughing out emissions(排放)and using gas all the way. 第二段承接上文说“But now that we’re used to staying at home and streaming movies,....You’re welcome.
根据第三段“Watching a half-hour show would lead to 3.5 pounds of CO2 emissions. That’s like driving 3.9 miles. ... digital technologies are responsible for 4% of greenhouse gas emissions,” 看半小时的节目要排放3.5磅的二氧化碳。 倒数第二段“Online video use is expected to account for 80%of all internet traffic by 2022 according to CISCO. By then, about 60% of the world's population will be online.”
根据第四段提及这五个国家的前面内容“In the European Union, the Eureca project lead scientist, Rabih Bashroush, calculated that 5 billion downloads and streams of the song "Despacito" consumed as much electricity as the countries of Chad, Guinea-Bissau, Somalia, Sierra Leone and the Central African Republic used in a single year.”
倒数第二段提出“You're probably not going to give up your streaming services, but there are things you can do to help lessen the impact of your online use.” 接着提出四点节省能源的忠告“Here are some tips: Disable auto play for video on social media.;Stream over Wi-Fi, not mobile networks;Watch on the smallest screen you can;Don’t use high-definition video on devices.”

根据第二段“Regarding the issue, two American scholars, Andrew McKenzie and Jeffrey Punske, co-authored the article “Language Development During Interstellar Travel”. What has been discussed in the article is the concept of language change over time. They wrote that given more time, new grammatical forms can completely replace current ones.(关于这个问题,两位美国学者Andrew McKenzie和Jeffrey Punske合著了《星际旅行中的语言发展》一文。
根据第二段“Regarding the issue, two American scholars, Andrew McKenzie and Jeffrey Punske, co-authored the article “Language Development During Interstellar Travel”. What has been discussed in the article is the concept of language change over time. They wrote that given more time, new grammatical forms can completely replace current ones.(关于这个问题,两位美国学者Andrew McKenzie和Jeffrey Punske合著了《星际旅行中的语言发展》一文。 他们写道,如果给更多的时间,新的语法形式可以完全取代现有的语法形式)”以及第四段中““If you’re on a spaceship for 10 generations, new concepts will emerge, new social issues will come up, and people will create ways of talking about them,” McKenzie said(麦肯齐说:“如果你在宇宙飞船上呆了10代,新的概念、新的社会问题就会出现,人们就会创造出谈论它们的方式,这些就会成为宇宙飞船特有的词汇。”)” 故选A。
根据第四段中“And the further away you get, the less you’re going to talk to people back home.(你走得越远,你跟家里的人说的话就越少)”可推知,在宇宙飞船上的人由于语言的改变,他们会不太想和地球上的人说话。
根据第一段“It’s possible that interstellar space explorers could come across problems communicating with previous and subsequent arrivals, as their spoken language has changed in isolation along the way.(星际空间探索者有可能遇到与以前和以后到达的人交流的问题,因为他们的口语在一路上发生了孤立的变化)”结合文章主要说明了语言在未来是如何变化的而展开,探讨了人们对此的不同看法和意见,指出地球上的语言可能会和飞船上的语言不同。

根据前文“Do you like to exercise? (你喜欢运动吗?)”,以及后文“Do you prefer playing a team sport, like volleyball or baseball?
根据前文“The work you do at school every day is like exercise for your brain. Learning and thinking can help you become smarter.( 你每天在学校做的工作就像对大脑的锻炼。 故A项用“But how can physical exercise help?( 但是体育锻炼能有什么帮助呢?)” 故选A。
根据上文“Some researchers point out that exercise stimulates the body’s nervous system, causing it to release chemicals that make us feel happy and calm. This helps to explain why many people feel more alive and active after exercising.(一些研究人员指出,锻炼可以刺激身体的神经系统,使其释放出让我们感到快乐和平静的化学物质。
根据下文内容“Experts believe that as little as 15-30 minutes per day three times a week may be enough to improve brain performance. 可知,本段主要介绍了你每周需要运动多长时间来改善大脑性能,故G项“So how much exercise do you need to help your brain work at its best?(那么,你需要多少锻炼才能让你的大脑达到最佳工作状态呢?)”
根据前文“Exercise is good for your body in so many ways, so include as much exercise as you can into your daily or weekly routine. 可知,运动对你的身体有好处,所以你应该尽可能多运动,故F项“Just take it easy starting until your body is ready to get more exercise.(刚开始的时候不要做太多,等你的身体准备好了再进行更多的运动。)”

At first I didn’t say much, just sat back and listened, satisfied to be included. Each day I would say more and more. For the first time, when I spoke, someone really listened and remembered the conversation the next day. I’d found someone who cared, and I didn’t feel so out of place anymore. My confidence and self-esteem increased and my hiding place started to collect dust. I still hid in the shadows sometimes, but it was almost like they were pushing me away with their fingers and telling me to join the world.
Now I look forward to going to school, and gradually I am letting other people into my life. I owe it all to him. He acted like the big brother I never had. If something bothered me or made me mad, I’d tell him. Each day I grew stronger and more outgoing than the day before. Sometimes I would think that he was my guardian angel sent to help me with my problems and pick the best solutions. I knew I could make it and would be all right the day the bus driver glanced back in her mirror and screamed, “Christy, you’re being too loud!” I laughed until the tears came because I finally realized I didn’t have to be part of the concrete anymore.

Text 1
M: Look at the girl in a red skirt over there. She looks like the missing girl in the newspaper.
W: But the description said the missing girl had black hair. That girl over there has brown hair.
Text 2
W: Please, Steve. When you ask for help, it makes others upset if you don’t express your thanks.
M: You’re right. There are just so many things on my mind. But sorry, it won’t happen again.
Text 3
W: Wow, this place has got all sorts of books. There is also a nice café nearby. I can’t believe I’ve never been here before!
M: Great, isn’t it? It’s definitely my favorite place to buy books, even if they are a bit more expensive here than they are online.
Text 4
M: Put your coat on. The taxi will be here in five minutes.
W: I need to brush my hair. I thought I had told you to order it for 8:00 p.m.
M: I did. Just hurry up now.
Text 5
M: I’m trying to lose weight but nothing seems to be working. I’ve tried running and cycling.
W: You should try counting calories. You decide what to eat and measure how many calories to burn every day according to your own plan. You’ll see and feel the difference.
Text 6
M: You look tired. Has it been a long day?
W: Yes. I can hardly keep my eyes open now. I started working at my computer at nine o’clock this morning and I don’t think I looked away until five.
M: Really? No breaks at all?
W: Not one.
M: Well, you’re home now. Just relax and have an early night.
W: I wish I could. But now I have to cook dinner. The kids need to be fed.
M: Oh, don’t worry about that. I’ll take care of it.
W: Thank you. You are so sweet.
Text 7
W: Want to go to a concert tonight?
M: Which concert?
W: The Peppers at the City Stadium.
M: How on earth did you get tickets for that? They must have been sold out as soon as they went on sale.
W: My brother and his wife were planning to go but they’ve had to cancel. His wife is ill, so I got the tickets.
M: Sorry to hear that. By the way, where are the seats?
W: In the third row.
M: Wow, those are really good seats! They must have cost a lot. I can usually only afford seats at the back or upstairs.
W: Yes, it’s a pity that they can’t go.
M: We should get them a gift as a way of saying thank you.
W: How about some flowers for his wife?
M: OK.
Text 8
M: Have you ever experienced any fears?
W: Oh, lots of fears. Especially since I came to university.
M: What do you mean — leaving home, taking exams…that sort of thing?
W: Not really, those things haven’t bothered me too much. But meeting other people was scary to me at first.
M: Why? You had met people before, hadn’t you?
W: Yes, but I had known them all my life. Here I had to get to know various new people and learn how to communicate with them.
M: Weren’t they friendly?
W: They were friendly enough. But they come from all over the world — from France, Russia, Poland…everywhere. Fortunately, we can all communicate in English, which happens to be my major in college.
M: Yes, even in your spare time, it is helping you study.
W: Exactly.
M: What do you want to be when you leave school? A translator or something?
W: I’m hoping to go into teaching.
M: Oh, the same as me. I want to teach history.
Text 9
W: Do you think young people should also have jobs when they are at school?
M: I do. I think kids should work for their pocket money.
W: What kind of work?
M: Helping with the washing up, cleaning…whatever. They should realize they need to work if they want to have money.
W: My kids are very good at those things. Both of them help with jobs around the house.
M: That’s good, but I don’t think all young people are like that these days.
W: To be fair, I suppose a lot of parents want their kids to concentrate on their schoolwork.
M: I always had enough time to do my schoolwork in my youth, even though I also worked on my dad’s farm.
W: I used to deliver newspapers. I had to be up at 6:00 a.m., whatever the weather.
M: It didn’t do you any harm, did it? I bet you still did well at school.

Hello, and welcome to That’s Entertainment! I’m Sally Withers, and tonight, I am so excited to have one of my own personal heroes on the show! Now, I don’t want to give the surprise away too quickly. So how about if I give you some information, and see if you can guess?
Tonight’s guest star was born in 1946, as the fourth of 12 children. Besides her charity work, she’s also an actress, author and businesswoman. However, none of these amazing achievements are what she is most famous for!
Confused yet? Well, let’s see… She’s most famous for being one of America’s most popular and productive songwriters, with 51 records to her name. Twenty-five of her songs reached number one on the Billboard country music charts. She’s won Grammy Awards many times throughout her unbelievable career!
Her Imagination Library programme currently gives free books to 1.9 million children around the world. Back in 2016, she raised $9 million to help the victims (受害者) of the Great Smoky Mountains wildfires. And most recently, during COVID-19, she donated $1 million to fight against the disease.
Yes, you’ve guessed it. Our special guest tonight is Dolly Parton!
