I feel honored to share my story of learning English. When I entered high school, I didn’t do well in English. Thankfully, under my teacher’s guidance, I began my journey of exploring the world of English. I was devoted to learning English, grasping every opportunity to practice. I became active in class, made great progress and above all, enjoyed all the fun of learning English. I believe nothing is impossible to a willing heart. Thanks for listening.第二节 读后续写(满分25分)One possible version:Later that afternoon, Roy and I made a special delivery to a home filled with children of all ages. I will never forget the smiles on the six kids’ faces, as they made several trips from my car carrying numerous bags of groceries inside. Surprised and excited, they couldn’t wait to talk about their Thanksgiving dinner. Meanwhile, the little one lit up at the sight of the cookies, jumping with great joy. The parents tightly held our hands with watery eyes, “Thank you for making our day.”On that Thanksgiving Day, my entire family also shared a hearty meal with us. We had plenty to eat. We even had enough food left over for the evening meal. That afternoon, when I had time to think about what had happened, I imagined a home, not far from where I lived, where there was a mother, a father and six children sitting around the kitchen table, laughing and rejoicing. They enjoyed the same meal that our family had shared together that day. Right then I realized that miracles happen when we step out in faith and all things are possible. 听力录音材料Text 1W: Excuse me. Erm, could I have an alarm call at half past six tomorrow morning?M: Certainly, madam. Could I have your room number, please?Text 2M: Sophie, Peter can’t attend the meeting tomorrow. Can you think of anyone to go?W: Let me see. Why not ask James?M: OK. I’m sure he’ll do just fine.Text 3W: I love your new jacket, Jack. How much did you pay for it? $140?M: Well, a bit more than $100. $130. It was a real bargain!Text 4M: I’ve heard that you are moving to China. Is that true?W: Yes. And I have already booked the flight, but I have to change my plane.M: Why?W: My father is suffering from a heart attack.Text 5M: Here is my latest piece, Katie. What do you think of it?W: Amazing. It looks almost like a photo, similar to a famous painter’s work. You should show this in the art exhibition next month.Text 6W: You walk so fast. What’s up?M: I’m in a hurry.W: Where are you going?M: The library. These books are due today.W: But the library closed two hours ago.M: What? It’s just 3 pm now.W: Today is holiday, so it closed earlier than usual.M: What can I do with these overdue books?W: Don’t worry. You can put them in a return box, and you’re safe.M: You save my life. Thanks.Text 7M: Can you wake me up at 8 tomorrow morning, Mum? I want to go running before breakfast.W: OK, Charlie. What are you doing after that?M: I’ve got my first Spanish class with Julia.W: That’s just for an hour, isn’t it? When you finish it at 10 am you can go to the supermarket with me.M: At 12:30, Dad and I want to take the boat out for a few hours. W: That’s OK. What time will you be back?M: I need to be back by 4 pm because I have to study for a test next week.W: Dad and I are going to the theatre tomorrow evening, so you can eat with us at 6.M: OK. At 7:30 in the evening I’m going to Tom’s house. We’re going to watch the football match together.Text 8M: I’m planning my trip to New Zealand. I heard you went there last year.W: Oh yes. What would you like to know?M: Which month is the best time to go?W: I went in December but it was very hot. Any time after August would be OK. I suggest you go in October.M: What is the best place you visited?W: I like Milford Sound most, but my friends all love Mount Cook. Lake Tekapo is really beautiful too.M: Where did you stay?W: At the local family. We saved a lot of money staying there. Hotels were too expensive. Next time I go I’ll camp. It must be interesting.M: Sounds great. I’ll share all this with my friends. Thanks, Jane. That’s really helpful.W: You’re welcome!Text 9W: OK, I’ve decided we are going to eat more healthily. Start this week. M: Alright. That’ll be good for our health, I believe.W: Let’s think what to eat for tomorrow, darling. Let’s begin with breakfast. Now we don’t have much time in the morning with rushing around getting ready for work and school, so what about having something quick to make?M: How about some bacon?W: That’s boring. What about something sweet?M: OK, we’ll have soup and some bread. We can also have milk and you can put some honey in it, for your sweet tooth!W: That’s great. Then, for lunch, we can have a sandwich with tomato and eggs in it. M: OK, how about some potato chips and soda?W: What! Do you realize how much fat and sugar they contain? A piece of fruit would be much better for you.M: OK. Now, how about dinner?W: Well, I was thinking we could have a nice fresh salad, and some chicken with rice.M: Wow, that’s great!Text 10W: Attention, please. Here is a message for you. Earth Day is coming. It is a tradition for us to do a cleanup to celebrate the festival and contribute to the health of this national treasure in the middle of the Mississippi River. You are welcome to join our volunteer work on Earth Day this year. Please meet at either East 36th Street & West River Parkway or East 44th Street & West River Parkway.
