广西英语中考试题最大的变动就是采取统一命题，分为笔试和听力两部分。听力部分30分，笔试部分90分总分120分。难度基本上容易题约70%，中等约20%，较难约10%，特别注重学生基础知识的考查，考点分布均匀。主要检测考生的基础的知识要点和语法要点，就目前从模拟试题及最新信息剖析来看，知识覆盖全面，包括了冠词，介词、代词、名词、动词、形容词、时态及从句的用法。完型填空仍然是以记叙文为主。 阅读理解接近日常生活，容易理解。而且都是只有A、B、C三个选项，难度上减轻。选词填空填空题难度稍大，考查学生的综合能力。 作文部分要注意最新的热点，各种类型在备考时都要注意到。

听力部分对于类似的题型多加训练，注意常考话题，问题不大。单项选择10题。我们重点的语法都要有所复习备考，抓基础。完型填空: 预测日常生活为题材，感人、正能力的记叙文。重点考查学生的综合理解能力，不可断章取义。阅读理解难度不大，有阅读判断和阅读单选，一般是应用文、记叙文和一篇说明文。细节题的设置要仔细阅读，认真分析。 补全对话的内容贴近学生生活、 易于理解，考查学生基本的交际语境能力。 选词填空，给10个单词选择，这一题目属于整个卷子中难度最大的了，此类型题要注意单词的词性变化; 生词量较往年不断有所增加，对考生的词汇量提出了较高要求，所以学生在备考中要进行词汇的积累。书面表达要注意热点话题，可能会以此切入考查。

When I was young, I always thought I had the meanest mother in the whole world. While other kids ate candy for breakfast, I had to have porridge, eggs or toast. When others had Coke and candy for lunch, I had to eat a sandwich. But at least I wasn’t alone when I was sad. My sister and two brothers had the same mean mother as I did.

My mother preferred to know where we were at all times. She had to know who our friends were and where we were going. We had to clean clothes and take a bath every day. The other kids got to wear the same clothes for days. We could not lie in bed “sick” in order to miss school.

Are you sometimes a little tired and sleepy in the early afternoon? Many people feel this way after lunch. They may think that eating lunch is the cause of the sleepiness. Or, in summer, they may think it is the heat. However, the real reason lies inside their bodies. At that time about eight hours after you wake up, your body temperature goes down. This is what makes you slow down and feel sleepy. Scientists have tested sleep habits in experiments where there was no night or day.
