When Misty Copeland was 25, she was awarded the gold medal of the Varna Ballet (芭蕾舞) Competition , one of the greatest prizes for a ballet dancer. On her trip to success, this talented dancer has met lots of challenges, but she got over them and danced towards her dream, the art of ballet.
Misty spends most days perfecting the beautiful movements of her art. She takes it as the most important thing everyday. “I feel really confident on stage,” she said.
But Misty didn’t always feel so confident. The hard time in the past made her strong. The day she turned 21, Misty found it difficult to rise to her feet, which was a disaster for a dancer. She went to hospital and actively took part in rehabilitative (康复的) training.
After 2 years of training, she finally stood up for her dream and continued to follow her dream. In 2015, she was named a top dancer at American Ballet Theatre. She is the first African American woman to win this prize. Her story has moved thousands of African Americans to work for their dreams. “No matter what that dream is, and how hard life could be,” she said. “Don’t run away and work for it with a brave heart,” she added.

Are you afraid to speak in public? Are you a shy person? If you think you are too shy and want to be a little bit braver, try the following. You can make it.
★Tell people you’re shy.
There’s no need to hide it. When they get to know you are a shy kid, they’ll understand you better. This also helps you feel at ease in talks.
★Smile to everyone.
When you smile, people think you are friendly and easy to talk to. Remember that other people also have such feelings and most people will stay away from an angry-looking face.
★Say something nice about the people around you.
If you find it hard to start talks, say something nice about the people around you. Think about how great you feel when someone says something nice to you. Doesn’t it make you want to keep talking to that person?
★Get your attention elsewhere.
Enjoy the party or the game. Don’t waste time worrying about your looks or whether people like you or not.
Take one small step at a time. Each time after you say “Hi” or smile at someone for the first time, say to yourself “I did it”! Or it could be something bigger, like buying yourself an ice-cream. Keep trying and you’ll never be shy when you talk to others one day.

Part C 语篇理解(共10分。根据短文内容,回答下列问题。)
Several Asian hospitals are doing experiments with tele-medicine. Tele-medicine is a kind of technology that allows doctors to “see” patients without being in the same place. It is possible through high-speed communication networks. At both ends of the line, the way of video-meeting lets them see and talk to each other. Blood pressure and body temperature are directly shown on computers.
Tele-medicine has already been widely used in some countries such as the United States and Germany. Among other uses, village doctors hold “consultations(会诊)” with far-away experts(专家). The experts can also help them during operations.
Tele-medicine has been slowing to reach Asia because of high costs, besides other reasons. When things are improved, this kind of technology will develop very fast. Chinese University of Hong Kong’s medical school has joined a big hospital in Beijing, and Thailand is building a tele-medicine station connecting 20 areas.
Tele-medicine will do good to patients because doctors from different places can see them and give their medical advice. The help is quite important if the disease is an unusual one. It also helps spread medical knowledge among experts.
As tele-medicine develops well, its costs will be lower and it will become more popular in the medical field.
