How to Overcome Procrastination

Procrastination, a common problem among students, may bring low grades and high levels of anxiety and guilt. Because of its negative consequences, it is high time that we overcame it.

The very first step is to reflect on the reasons why you postpone doing things constantly. Only by doing so can you truly begin to change your behavior. It is also a good choice to break big tasks into small manageable ones. This is because when a task is too overwhelming to tackle, procrastination often follows. Besides, keeping yourself motivated by promising yourself a reward might help.

While procrastination may not be conquered overnight, by practicing these methods, you will find it easier to get started on important tasks.
