注意:有些名词在英语和汉语中都是可数名词,但也有不少名词在英语中是不可数的,而在汉语中却是可数的。
1. 可数名词一般有单数形式和复数形式两种 (少数可数名词单复数同形, 如sheep, Chinese等), 不可数名词没有单、复数形式。

2. 基数词ne或者mre than ne或与它们相当的词(如many)可直接修饰可数名词, 表示数量; 而这些词不可直接修饰不可数名词, 要表达不可数名词的量要用“基数词+单位词+f ”。如: tw bks ne cup / bttle f water three spns f sup ne bwl f rice ne bx f milk tw kils f ygurt
3. 对可数名词的量进行提问时用hw many(注意:hw many后接可数名词的复数形式); 对不可数名词的量进行提问时用hw much。如: This by has three pens. (对划线部分提问) →Hw many pens des this by have? I ate tw bwls f rice. (对划线部分提问) →Hw much rice did yu eat?
【链接】 hw much还可用于询问物品的价格, 意为“多少钱”。如: — Hw much is Kate’s sweater? — 60 yuan.
