China’s Zhurong rover (祝融号) has found evidence (证据) showing that water has been on Mars (火星) much longer than expected.

The rover continues to research into its landing place and send information back to the Tianwen-1. The rover returned some information from its primary survey of the basin. It shows that Utopia Planitia basin had water during a time, but many scientists used to believe Mars to be dry and cold.
“Mars is the planet we are most likely to live on in the future. That’s why we want to understand it,” said Ge, a scientist in China’s space program. “Zhurong’s evidence of water on Mars makes great progress in future Mars missions!”

(2022春·福建漳州·八年级统考期末)If you want to take a close look at a dolphin (海豚) in its natural habitat (栖息地) , there’s no better place to do it than at Monkey Mia, the only beach in Australia that dolphins visit every day.
The wild dolphins of Monkey Mia started getting used to people in the early 1960s, when local fishermen started throwing them fish. Soon the news of friendly dolphins swimming around Monkey Mia began to spread, and before long the beach became very popular. However, by the 1980s, researchers had noticed a worrying fact — as adult dolphins became more dependent on humans for food, more and more of their babies died. Things got so bad that 90% of the babies failed to grow up. Luckily, the local government started to control dolphin feeding.
Today, only a small number of dolphins visit the Monkey Mia beach every day. And they are only fed a little fish so that they still go out hunting(猎食) and teach their young survival(生存) skills. Visitors can only feed the dolphins when they are allowed. “We only feed them around 10% of their daily food,” said Luke Skinner, a staff member there. “This makes them go and hunt for 90% of their food.”
The dolphins that visit Monkey Mia every morning draw more than 100,000 visitors to the beach each year. Visitors can get close to the dolphins, play with them and learn about them and their habitat.

C.Monkey Mia became too crowded with visitors.
D.More and more baby dolphins failed to grow up.
9.How does the local government protect the dolphins?
A.By protecting their habitat. B.By controlling dolphin feeding.
C.By teaching them hunting skills. D.By cutting down the number of visitors.
10.The writer wrote the passage to ________.
A.introduce the best place the dolphins live in

(2022·福建三明·八年级统考期末)It was a February afternoon. We were in a classroom. Taylor Angler watched some ducks swimming on a farm. But it was all in her head. A virtual reality headset(虚拟现实头戴式显示设备) took her there. “I was surprised to find that the ducks were right in front of me! It was an exciting experience(经历).” Taylor said after taking off the purple headset and finding herself still in the classroom. Many students around the world are taking VR “trips” like Taylor. But what effect(影响) does it have on learning?
Taking children to visit different places is a good way to teach them about the world. But what can children do if they forget it after the trip? VR lets children go back at any time.
It’s difficult to talk about something if you’ve never seen it with your own eyes. If you have never seen the ocean, with VR, you can have a look at it for yourself.
VR can also help students at science classes at schools. “Too often at schools, when you do experiments(实验), you put different kinds of chemicals together and then get the result. And if you aren’t successful, you need to do it again,” a high school teacher said. “But we don’t have enough chemicals. With VR, I just need to do it again on the computer. I don’t have to use chemicals.”
VR is useful, but that’s not to say we don’t need real-world(真实世界的) experiences. The real world is the one that we really need to learn about.

A.following the time order B.showing a study result

    A.The VR. B.The trip. C.The world. D.The ocean.
    25.The structure(结构)of the passage is ________.
    A. B. C. D.

(2022春·福建福州·八年级统考期末)Once I asked my students to draw clothes. I wanted to know what they thought about fashion. A few students expressed their opinions freely while others spent some hours trying to find right words to express their feelings. At the beginning, they were a little confused(困惑). There was a famous Romanian saying: Clothes do not make the man. They thought there was no need to care about too much what clothes they should wear.
Reading their short writings, I learned that most of the children are not really happy with their clothes while others don’t care about fashion. The young children prefer beautiful clothes, and the others prefer comfortable ones.

After having two more glasses of cordial(甜果汁饮料), Diana turned pale suddenly.
“I’m sick,” she said, “I must go home.” And she left Green Gables and ran all the way home.
On Monday, Anne went to see if Diana was better. She soon ran back home with tears rolling down cheeks.
“What has happened, Anne?” asked Marilla.
“Mrs. Barry says that I sent Diana home drunk on Saturday. She says she’s never going to let Diana play with me again!”
Marilla went to the cupboard and then came back to the kitchen with a bottle of wine, trying not to smile.
“Anne, you gave Diana wine instead of raspberry cordial. Didn’t you know the difference?”
“I never tasted it,” said Anne. “But Mrs. Barry will never believe me. And now I’ll never be able to play with Diana again!”
The following Monday, Anne surprised Marilla by coming down from her room with her books.
“I’m going back to school,” she said. “That is all there is left in life for me, now that my friend is gone.”
Marilla tried not to show how happy she was to hear this. “You’d better work hard,” she said.
One evening Anne did work hard, and soon she was top of the class with Gilbert Blythe, whom she still found very annoying.
Anne was at home doing her homework. Matthew was home, but Marilla had gone to town with the Barrys and Mrs. Lynde. Suddenly, Anne looked up and saw Diana standing at the door. She looked very worried.
“What is the matter, Diana?” cried Anne.
“Oh, Anne, do come quick,” said Diana nervously. “Minnie May is very sick. Father and Mother are away in town and there’s nobody to go for the doctor.”
Matthew quietly got his cap and coat and went for the doctor.
