一、教学目标

1. 掌握本课重点词汇及短语：fit, walk past, knock onto, worry, give her seat to someone in need, have a good voice, wear small round glasses, bored & boring, have long straight hair, say a bad word about anyone, be good at telling jokes

2. 掌握本课重点句型：

She is also helpful and ready to help people any time.

三、教学过程

Step 1 Warming-up

Ask Ss “ Who would you choose as your best friend and why?

【设计意图】通过提问，帮助学生回顾上节课所学的文章内容，同时为接下来的学习做准备。

Step 2 Pre-reading

T helps Ss to recall the details of the passage by mind-mapping.

【设计意图】思维导图能有效地快速帮助学生回顾文章主体内容，复习过程中再现了重点词汇、短语和习惯表达。

Step 3 While-reading

1. Ask Ss to write the correct names in the boxes and find some related details in the three entries.

【设计意图】通过阅读，引导学生关注主题句与细节，培养学生的表达能力。

Step 3 Post-reading

1. Ask Ss to analyze the structure of the 2rd paragraph of the 2rd composition.

2. Ask Ss to summarize the parts of a paragraph.

2. Ask Ss to work in pairs and introduce their best friends to each other.

3. Help Ss to summarize the usages of make, the adjectives with the ending -ed and -ing and the key phrases.
