Show some pictures about social worker and explain its definition.【设计意图】通过图片,解释社会工作者的职业特点,同时鼓励学生要向社会工作者学习,乐于帮助有需要的人Step 3 While-listening1. Guide Ss to listen and tick the correct answers.【设计意图】通过勾选正确答案,锻炼学生从听力材料中获取信息的能力。2. Guide Ss to work in pairs and have a conversation.Sample:S1: What does Nora want to be when she grows up?S2: She wants to be a social worker.S1: Why does she want to be a social worker?S2: Because she wants to meet different people and help people with their problems.【设计意图】通过对话形式,谈论Nora的职业规划,既可以深化学生对听力材料细节的理解,同时锻炼了口语能力。3. Guide Ss on the left to play the role of Sandy and the Ss on the right to play the role of Helen to read the dialogue aloud, then change the roles.【设计意图】通过朗读对话,练习学生的发音。2.
