一、教学目标
1. 掌握本课重点词汇:mixed, French, discuss, baseball, foreign, language, during, baseball, win, offer, end, in class
2. 掌握本课重点句型:
Boys and girls have lessons together.
Among all my subjects, I like French best.
Learning foreign languages is fun.
I often read more books than my classmates.
Time seems to go faster when we are reading interesting books.
On Friday afternoon, our school ends earlier than usual.
Our team won two games last month.
- 通过听读,获取Nancy和John的英美学校生活的信息。

5. 介绍自己的学校生活。

三、教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up
Guide Ss to have a free talk by showing the pictures of school life and answer the following questions:
1. What do you think of our school?
2. What’s your favourite subject?
3. What clubs do you like in our school?
4. How long do you do sports every day?
5. How often do you go to the library?
6. What’s your school life like?
【设计意图】结合图片,让学生谈论自己的学校,引出话题,并通过头脑风暴,概括出学校生活包含的方方面面,为接下来的学习做了铺垫。
Step 2 Pre-reading
Make a discussion.
What do you think British or American school life would be like?
【设计意图】在正式进入文本阅读之前,让学生通过讨论英美校园生活,激发学生主动阅读的欲望。
Step 3 While-reading
1. Listen and choose.
【设计意图】通过听力练习,培养学生获取细节信息的能力。
2. Read and finish the following tasks.
(1) Read passage 1, complete the form and answer the questions.
(2) Read passage 2, complete the form and answer the questions.
【设计意图】通过分篇分段阅读文章,培养学生获取细节信息和推理判断的能力,培养学生深层理解文本的能力。
Step 4 Post-reading
- Complete the blanks. Then put an N in the box if the picture shows Nancy’s school and a J if it shows John’s school.
【设计意图】通过对图片内容的描述,以及对内容的判断,回顾课本内容,培养学生的记忆能力,以及对文章内容的整体把握能力。
2. Guide Ss to try to retell the passage about Nancy’s school life according to the graphic organizer.
3. Guide Ss to try to retell the passage about John’s school life according to the graphic organizer.
【设计意图】根据表格分别复述Nancy和John的校园生活,强化学生短时记忆,并提高学生叙述的逻辑能力。
4. Make a discussion.
If you have a chance (机会) to study in a British school or an American school, which school will you choose? Why?
【设计意图】创设情境引导学生进行讨论,让学生通过自己的语言将本堂课的重点内容输出,检测本堂课的目标达成度。
Step 5 Summary
Summarize what they’ve learnt in this class.
【设计意图】通过总结和梳理,帮助学生回顾所学,强化记忆。
Step 6 Homework
1. Read the text after the tape three times.
2. Write about your school life to Nancy or John.
【设计意图】通过读写,巩固、强化课堂内容,并为本单元的作文写作作准备。
