一、教学目标
1. 掌握本单元重点词汇及短语:invite…to…, join, boring, arrive at/in, be made of, look as great as the one back home, for yourselves
2. 掌握本单元重点句型:
Mr. Wu invited me to join their school trip to the World Park.
It took us about two hours to get there by bus.
All of us couldn’t wait to get off the bus.
It is made of steel.
Go and see for yourselves!
3. 能够掌握本课重点词汇及句型的用法。
4. 能够复述课文。
5. 加深对旅游的意义的探究,从而热爱旅游,热爱生活。
二、教学重点及难点
重点:
1. 引导学生学习掌握本课重点词汇及句型。
2. 引导学生根据要点,用自己的话复述课文。
难点:引导学生思考旅游的意义。
三、教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up
1. Guide Ss to work in pairs and discuss the following questions.
(1) Where are you going on holiday?
(2) Which city are you going to?
(3) Why do you want to go there?
(4) How do you plan to get there?
【设计意图】通过两人一组讨论问题的形式导入本课主题。
Step 2 Pre-reading
Guide Ss to complete the notes.
【设计意图】通过填空的形式,帮助学生回顾课文中的要点。
Step 3 While-reading
1. Guide Ss to read the passage and do the True or False questions.
2. Guide Ss to complete Kitty’s diary.
【设计意图】回归文本,通过不同形式的练习巩固课文内容和相关词汇。
Step 4 Post-reading
1. Guide Ss to learn the language points in the passage.
(1) Mr. Wu invited me to join the trip.
(2) All of us couldn’t wait to get off the bus.
(3) It took us two hours to get there by bus.
(4) We finally arrived at the park.
(5) It is made of steel.

2. Complete the sentences with the phrases.

3. Guide Ss to retell the passage.

4. Guide Ss to discuss what they think about the meaning of travelling.

Step 5 Summary
Summarize what they’ve learnt in this class.
Step 6 Homework
1. Review the language points they have learned.
2. Try to recite the text.
3. Preview Grammar.
