Look at the pictures of the Taiwan Earthquake and talk about what happened.2. Discuss the question: What were people doing when the earthquake happened?【设计意图】有目的、有意义地导入,既复习了阅读部分学习的内容,同时也引导学生思考过去进行时态。Step 2 Presentation1. Look at the pictures and complete the sentences. 2. Read the sentences aloud and then learn the structure and the usage of the past continuous tense.【设计意图】采用归纳教学法,让学生自己发现语法规则符合现有的心智结构,更便于记忆与运用。Step 3 Practice1. Circle the verbs in the past continuous tense.2. Look at the pictures and make sentences.2. Complete the conversation with the correct forms of the verbs in brackets.【设计意图】在单句层面和对话层面操练语言,帮助学生内化语言,同时巩固对过去进行时的使用。Task 2Step 1 PresentationLook at the pictures and learn the usage of “when”, “while, “as” and the differences among “when”, “while” and “as”.【设计意图】在语境中,学习感知和体验when/while/as的用法,明确语法知识的语用功能。Step 2 Practice1. Fill in the blanks with “when”, “while” or “as”.2. Complete the sentences with the correct forms of the verbs in brackets.
