Guide Ss to look and guess who they are according to the pictures and descriptions.【设计意图】通过对前期所学的伟人的描述让学生热身且快速回顾的同时,导入本课所要介绍的人物袁隆平。Step 2 Pre-writingRead Part A on P32 and answer the questions. Then guide Ss to learn the writing skills about using because and so. Then ask Ss to make long sentences by using because and so.【设计意图】通过阅读,获取袁隆平的信息,进一步激发学生学习兴趣和积极性。Learn to analyze information to get the structure of the text.Finish Amy’s report.Work out Amy’s writing structure and then outline for writing about a famous person.【设计意图】通过对Amy作文结构的分析,由学生总结出文章层次及各层次的内容要求,做到结构清晰。接下来计划自己的作文,最崇拜的人物以及为什么崇拜他(她),学生有机会比较、使用各种复杂句、复合句,并学习添加适当信息使文章显得丰满,为后面的写作做铺垫。Step 3 While-writing1. Guide Ss to write their own articles and tell Ss to remember to make some notes before writing.2. Guide Ss to write the article.【设计意图】通过搭建的写作框架和引领学生写作的问题,让学生自主完成写作任务。通过问题来判断写作的好坏,同时让学生了解一篇优秀的作文应该包含哪些因素。 Step 4 Post-writingOffer the evaluation form and self-edit first. Then ask Ss to share their articles with their partners Then share in class and ask them to listen and take notes, then prepare for the report.【设计意图】同伴互助批改作文有助于学生作文水平的提升以及合作能力的增强。Step 5 SummaryGuide Ss to summarize what they’ve learnt.【设计意图】帮助学生总结课堂所学,巩固所学,培养总结的好习惯。Step 6 Homework
1. Self-edit their own writings according to the writing evaluation table. 2. Summarize what they’ve learned in Unit 2 in their notebooks.【设计意图】通过课后润色修改作文,帮助学生形成良好的写作习惯,总结本单元所学,引导学生关注对单元内容的梳理和提升。四、板书设计Unit 2 Great peopleTaskIntroduction Introduce the person you want to write about.Main body Write some detailed information about his or her life (name, date of birth, date of death, job, education, major events, prizes and so on).Conclusion Explain why you admire him or her.
