    A. Infinitives after nuns
    动词不定式一般都是作后置定语,修饰前面的的名词或代词,用来解释某一事物的功能或用途。
    Make cnversatins with the nuns frm the bx. Use infinitives after the nuns in yur cnversatins. Yu may fllw the example belw.

    Rewrite the sentences with the wrds in brackets. D nt change the meaning f each sentence.

    Infinitives as subjects
    In mst cases, we use it at the beginning f the sentence as an empty subject t refer t the infinitive.
    B. Infinitives as subjects
    动词不定式短语作主语时,一般不放在句首,通常以it作形式主语,将动词不定式后置。
    常用形容词作它的表语: It’s + adj.(描述事物特征)+ fr sb. t d sth.. It’s + adj.(描述人性格、品质)+ f sb. t d sth.. 有时也接名词作表语。 如: It must be great fun t fly t the mn in a spaceship. it作形式主语还用于“It takes/tk/will take sb. sme time t d sth.”的句型中。 如: It will take us a lng time t walk there. 
    It作形式主语时,主要有三种情况:

    Dr Green: Hell, Hans. Hans: Hell, Dr Green. Hw lng did it take yu t get here by plane? Dr Green: (1)_______________________________________. (take/tw hurs) Hw lng will it take t get t the university? Hans: (2)_______________________________________. (take/20 minutes)

    Infinitives after the verb t be
    We als use infinitives after the verb t be.

    Put the wrds in the crrect rder t make sentences. Add ther wrds if necessary.

    Mr White’s plan is t have a small shp in a year.
    My idea is t attract the students by making a pster.
    Her jb is t take care f children.
    c. Infinitives after the verb t be
    动词不定式作表语常常用于补充说明主语的具体内容或表示目的、计划或打算等。
    主语为aim, dream, hpe, idea, plan, purpse, suggestin, wish等 表示目的、计划或打算的词。 eg: His wish is t becme an astrnaut. 当句子的主语为wrk, jb或functin时, 往往也使用这一结构。 eg: The man’s jb was t give advice t the king. 
    动词不定式作表语其主要用法有:
