Unit 1 What does she look like? 【第二课时】【教学目标】(一)语言目标1.词汇:能听懂、会说、认读新单词tall, short, long, round, young, old.2.句型:能运用句型,初步询问他人和介绍他人外貌;对书信的格式有初步感知.(二)应用目标1.能询问他人的外貌特征.2.能独立阅读书信,并能寻找和获取信息,用来完成表格.【教学重难点】1.重点:能听懂、会说、认读新单词tall, short, long, round, young, old.能询问他人“What does he/ she look like?”并能运用“He/ She is tall. He/ She has big eyes.”介绍他人外貌.2.难点:信件形式的阅读文本给学生增加了新奇感,同时也存在视觉上的难度挑战.学生要能读懂信件的寄信人、收信人和大概内容,需要教师点拨才行.【教学准备】单词卡片、课文录音、课本图片等(有条件的学校可利用幻灯片、多媒体课件、教学VCD).【教学过程】I. 热身/复习(Warm-up/Revision)Game: Choose教师提供几张图片,请学生根据图片的外貌选择形容词来描述人物.1.________ is tall/ short.2._______ is tall/ short.3.________ has short hair/ long hair.4._______ is ugly/ beautiful. 5.________ is thin/ fat.6.______ has big eyes/ small eyes.7.________ has big eyes/ small eyes.8.______ has a round face/ long face.II. 新课呈现(Presentation)1.Talk about our teachers(1)带读:our Chinee teacher, our English teacher, our maths teacher.(2)T: Who is our Chinese teacher?What does she look like?Ss: ...T: Who is our maths teacher?What does he look like?Ss: …T: What do I look like?Ss: …学生回答时可以参照以下板书或者事先准备好的贴图来进行. 2.Let's ReadPre-reading:教师用课件呈现自己笔友的照片和来信,介绍pen friend.T: Nancy wants to make a pen friend. This letter is from Nancy to her pen friend.教师用课件将写的信通过电子邮件发送出去并介绍:“The pen friend (Jane) has got the letter.”课件呈现笔友收到了信,很喜悦,阅读了信的内容并动笔写回信.教师:“This letter is from Jane to Nancy.”While-reading:(1)First, read it by yourselves in two minutes.
