Fcus n基本含义和用法
1. 情态动词 can, culd表示能力2. 情态动词 can, culd, may表 示请求
◆can 和culd可以用来谈论主语所具备的能力,意为“能,会”。can表示主语现在所具备的能力;culd表示主语过去所具备的能力。
(1) Millie can play the pian. 米莉会弹钢琴。(2) I culd speak English at the age f six. 我六岁的时候就会说英语了。
一、情态动词can, culd表示能力
(1) They can play basketball. 他们会打篮球。(2) She culd dance at the age f six. 他六岁就会跳舞。
肯定句: 主 + can/culd + 动词原形 …
can否定形式为cannt或can't。 culd否定形式为culd nt或culdn't。
(1) She cannt swim. 她不会游泳。(2) We cannt/can't see electricity. 我们看不见电。(3) I culdn't find my keys this mrning. 今天早上时我找不到我的钥匙。
否定句: 主 + can't/culdn't + 动词原形 …
(1) - Can yu drive? - Yes, I can./N, I can't. — 你会开车吗? — 是的,我会。/不,我不会。(2) Culd yu slve the prblem yurself? 你能自己解决这个问题吗?
疑问句中,can/culd要提到句首,位于主语的前面。
疑问句:Can/Culd + 主 + 动词原形 …? 肯定回答: 否定回答:
Yes, 主 + can/culd.
N, 主 + can't/culdn't.
我们也可以用be able t来表示能力,be动词的形式根据句子所用时态变化。

他应该能够过上正常的生活。

事实上,不存在你不会做的事。
◆can, culd和may都可表示“许可”。其中,culd语气更委婉,比can听起来更有礼貌。may则用在比较正式的场合。
(1) Can yu pass me the bks? 你能给我递一下那些书吗? (2) Culd yu help me, please? 请问,你能帮我吗? (3) May I cme in, Mr Wang? 王老师,我可以进来吗?

注意:what和hw引导的感叹句在口语中常用简略式,即省略主语和谓语。
