It was a cld and snwy mrning after the winter vacatin. Actually, it was my first day at my new schl. I was walking slwly and wrrying abut lts f things. It was early and there weren’t many peple n the rad. A girl n a bike passed me quickly. She was riding n ice when suddenly she fell ff her bike a few steps in frnt f me.

She was trying hard t get up but fell again. Withut thinking, I went ver and helped her stand up. She said, “Thank yu,” with a smile and then rde away. The wrds “Thank yu” warmed me and this small event made me feel less nervus abut my new schl.
Finally, I gt t schl. The teacher led me t the classrm and asked me t sit dwn beside a girl. I was s nervus. I knew sme f the students were lking at me but I didn’t dare t lk at them. Sn the first class started. It was English. They used a different textbk frm my ld schl and I didn’t have a cpy.
As I was wndering what t d, a bk appeared in frnt f me. “Let’s share,” the girl next t me said. “And hi, I’m Carrie.” I lked up. It was the girl I helped that mrning. What a surprise!
Frm then n, we became gd friends. She was my first and best friend at my new schl. Helping her als helped me find a friend.
