【语法聚焦】

一、at, on, in等时间介词的用法

1、at用在时间点前或者用在正午和夜晚前。

at seven (o’clock) 在七点钟

at half past eleven 在11点半

at ten to six 在五点五十分

at noon 在正午

at night 在夜晚

2、in用在早晨、下午、晚上、月份、季节、年份、世纪前

in the afternoon 在下午

in July 在七月

in winter 在冬天

in the 20th century 在20世纪

in 2020 在2020年

3、on用在星期、节假日前或者用在具体时间前面

on Sunday 在星期天

School begins on September 1st. 学校9月1日开学。

on the afternoon of October 25th 在10月25号的下午

    on Teachers’ Day 在教师节

【注意】

（1）当句中含有this, these, that, those, last, next, every或each等时间状语时，一般不用介词。如：

Don’t be late next time.  下次别迟到。

    Han Mei walks to school every day.  韩梅每天步行上学。

（2）当句中含有today, tonight , tomorrow(morning, afternoon, evening) 等时间状语时，一般不用介词。如：

I’m very busy today.  我今天很忙。

    They will come here tomorrow.  他们明天要来这儿。

二、表示时间的起点等用 from, since

1. from 表示“从……开始”时，常用词组"from...to..."：[来源:学科网]

The meeting will be held from eight to ten. 这个会议将从8点开到10点。

2.  since 指“自从……以来”，表示从以前某时一直到现在仍在继续，通常用于完成时：

I have been sick since yesterday. 我从昨天就病了。（一直到现在）

三、表示期限等用 before, by, until/till, (from...) to, within, in

1. before与by

before 指“在……之前”：源Please come before ten o'clock. 请10点以前来。

by 指“在……前（时间）；截至（到）……”：

　　How many English books had you read by the end of last year? 到去年年底以前你看过多少本英文书？

表示“在……以前”时，before 与 by 基本可通用。但 by 还有“截至……为止”之意：

How many models have you made by the end of last month? 截至上月底你做了多少个模型？

2. until/till与to

until/till 指“直到……为止”，until 和 till 可以通用：until/till seven o'clock 直到7点

由 until/till 形成的句子，句中的动词如果是短暂性动词，则必须用否定句：

I'll wait for him until he comes here. 我将在这儿一直等到他来。（wait 是延续动词，用肯定式）

We didn't begin to watch TV until/till nine o'clock. 一直到九点，我们才开始看电视。（begin 是短暂性动词，所以用否定式）
