Unit 11 Shall we go to the theatre? 【第二课时】【教学目标】(一)语言目标:1.词汇:能听懂、会说、认读新单词newspaper, circus, carnival, diary, yourselves;能听懂、理解 event, place.2.句型:能用“Shall we ...?”、“Let's ...”向他人征求意见,并给予合适的回答.3.语法:能运用祈使句征求意见,能用—般将来时制订计划.(二)应用目标:1.能正确使用电话用语.2.能征求对方意见,并给予合适的回答.3.能阅读报纸、海报,并根据不同活动的时间安排,制订自己的计划.【教学重难点】重点:能用“Shall we ...?”、“Let's ...”向他人征求意见,并给予合适的回答;能阅读报纸、海报,并根据不同活动的时间安排,制订自己的计划.难点:till在时间表示上的运用;运用一般将来时制订计划.【教学准备】用于新授单词的图片、单词卡片、课本图片、教学VCD等(有条件的学校可利用幻灯片、多媒体课件).【教学过程】I. 热身/复习(Warm-up/ Revision)1.Greetings2.Brainstorming学生围绕place—词,展开联想说出相关的地点,构建下面的单词网.(可以复习到以下词汇:school, library, restaurant, shopping centre, post office, hotel, bank, park, airport, hospital, railway station, cinema, theatre, concert hall)3.Free talkT: What are you going to do tomorrow/this weekend? Shall we go to...?S1, 2, 3: I'm going to …II. 新课呈现(Presentation)1.表演A部分课文.2.Part C: Let's practice.T: Did you phone your friend yesterday? Please act it out.3.Part D: Let's read.阅读课文D部分,分步骤熟悉海报内容:(1)第一步:Speed-reading and answer the question 快速阅读,回答整体性问题.How many events are there on today's newspaper? (帮助学生理解event)(2)第二步:Read and tick or cross精读,圈出不理解的单词.判断正误,打“√”或打“×”.a.The Piano Concert is from 9 a. m. to 11 a. m. ( )b.The play of The Naughty Mouse is from 1 p. m. to 4 p. m. ( )c.The free film Three Little Pigs is on(上演)at Lihua Park. ( )d.The Spring Carnival is on at Yongheng Town Centre. ( )e.The play at the Yongheng Theatre is about a FAT CAT. ( )(3)第三步:Solve the problems教师讲解,突破难点.(预测:在这些活动中,学生的难点预计集中在Shanghai Circus, Spring Carnival,及对till的理解.)T:(教师出示circus的图片) Look. This is Shanghai Circus. Did you ever go to the circus? 运用自然拼读法帮助学生拼读单词:circus.T:(出示马戏团的海报) What time does the circus start?Ss: It starts at 1 o'clock in the afternoon.T: What time does it finish?Ss: It finishes at 4 o'clock.T: So the circus is 1:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m.We can also say “The circus is from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.”T:(教师出示carnival 的图片) Look. This is the Spring Carnival. Did you ever go to the Spring Carnival? 运用自然拼读法帮助学生拼读单词:carnival.T: Did you enjoy yourselves at the Spring Carnival?T:(当学生不理解enjoy yourselves时)“Enjoy yourselves” means “have a good lime”. Did you have a good time at the Spring Carnival? (4)第四步:Answer the questions回答问题.a.Where is the Piano Concert on?b.When is the free film of Three Little Pigs on?c.Where is the Shanghai Circus on?d.Where is the Spring Carnival on?(5)第五步:Make a plan.小组制订计划.小组活动:You and your friends are going to enjoy yourselves today. What are you going to do? Please make a plan for today. Discuss in groups and write it down.III. 趣味操练(Practice)1.分小组展示计划,评选最优小组.2.“找伙伴”活动.教师请每位学生在一张小纸条上写下自己的周末安排(1-2项),如“I'm going to play football on Saturday morning.”、“I'm going to the cinema in the afternoon.”等,随后在教室里自由询问: “Shall we go to play football on Saturday morning?”如遇到有相同安排的学生即说:“Great! Let's go to play football.”再一起去问其他同学,看谁找到的伙伴最多,最后伙伴们一起向教师和其他同学汇报自己的周末安排.3.小组活动:制订寒假计划.T: The winter vacation is coming. Where will you go? Discuss in groups.4.拓展:有关计划的谚语.A good plan makes a good result.有好的计划,才有好的结果. 【作业布置】1.听与读:听录音,跟读A、B部分.2.说一说,写一写:和爸爸妈妈商量,一起制订一个家庭周末活动计划.
