This period includes check preparation, warming up, reading and thinking, exercises and group discussion, summary and homework. It introduces students some pictures, a few short sayings, and the life and works of Lin Qiaozhi. After learning, the students are able to understand and know more about Lin Qiaozhi, and can find some important morals and virtues one great person can have.

2.Enable the students to know some crucial and precious morals and virtues one amazing person own.
3.Get the students to understand that life is filled with difficulties, self-sacrifice and a great deal of dedications.

- How to help the students comprehend the passage and learn about Lin Qiaozhi.
- How to help students use fast reading(skimming or scanning), careful reading and detailed reading methods to improve their reading skills and speed up their reading.
- Motivate the students to describe Lin Qiaozhi by choosing some key words and it is not easy for them to write a short article about Lin Qiaozhi.

Teaching Steps
Activity 1 Greeting and Lead-in
Good morning, boys and girls! Welcome to my class! Today I will guide you to learn unit2. Have you known these people? They are all the backbone of our nation. There are no such things as peaceful days, nothing but someone carrying the heavy load for you.
Activity 2 Prediction
To begin with, use some photos to attract the students and let them guess, and then let them know that this lesson is gonna to talk about Lin Qiaozhi. Next, lead them into today’s topic, Lin Qiaozhi. Besides, discuss the title, mothernof ten thousand babies in group, especially pay more attention to why Lin Qiaozhi was called “mother of ten thousand babies”.
