And I am short.能理解课文的主要内容并能进行跟读模仿。能力目标：运用所学形容词描述动物的特征。情感态度目标：热爱动物，并呼吁大家一起保护动物。教材及学情分析：本课的故事是通过Amy和Lingling参观动物园，带领学生学习关于动物的单词以及学会用形容词描述动物的特征。话题：动物园里的动物。词汇：学生能在图片的帮助下认读理解词汇snake, short, small, elephant, go, zoo, long, giraffe, tall, tiger.句型: 学生能够在图片的帮助下初步运用句型These snake are long. And these snakes are short. The giraffes are tall. And I am short.功能:能够用形容词描述动物的特征。学生在上一个模块学习了动物及形容词，因此本课对于学生而言话题是比较容易的，同时本课中动物也是学生比较熟悉的，所以本课中学生是有话可说，也愿意说的。教学重点：1.Students can listen, speak and read: long,short,tall,big,small,giraffes,tigers,snakes,elephants.2. These snakes are......教学难点：Ss can ask and answer with the structure: These snakes are......They are.... 教学辅助：PPT，动物图片各若干,单词卡,句型条，常见动物的图片的worksheet教学方法：教师运用TPR、游戏、歌曲、童谣、小组比赛以及任务教学等方式，鼓励学生大胆说英语，激发学生积极主动地参与到课堂活动中，并引导学生通过合作学习，用目标语言进行交流，从而最终达成教学目标。教学内容教学活动设计意图教师活动学生活动Step 1: Warm up1.TPR: Do and say I do you say:学习新形容词（small/ long short/ tall）Words game：read and touch、train game、camera game   通过TPR热身活动，调动学生学习积极性，带领学生学习形容词。通过简单的单词游戏加深学生对于几个形容词的理解及朗读。Step 2:  Presentation1. Ss look at the picture of the zoo and get to know that Amy and Lingling are going to the zoo today.Ss imitate the sentence: Let’s go to the zoo!  2. Watch the video with the following questions: What animals can you see?  Learn the new words: snakes, elephants, giraffes, and tigers.Describe the animals with the new words: short, small, long, tall.3.Ss guess and stick,then read and check：What are they like?     4. Say a chant together.  Ss try to make a new chant.   通过情境导入法，呈现动物园的图片，让学生理解zoo,通过学生跟读模仿，体会主人公快乐心情。 学生通过观看课文动画，找出关于动物的词，认读单词,并简单操练。同时通过猜一猜，贴一贴的方式学会询问句“Are they long/short”等，并通过带问题读课文，找到答案，从中运用新的形容词去描述动物特征。通过说儿歌的方式，带领学生练习句子，并且尝试学生自编，培养创造能力。Step 3:  Consolidation1. Listen and read the text. Try to imitate.  2.Talk about:What are tigers like?     3.Game：小小动物园解说员。Look at the XX“These xx are ....../They are......” Describe the animals according to the pictures.     4.Riddles about the animals in the zoo.    5. Color the pictures and introduce the animals in the zoo. 通过跟读模仿和课文表演，培养好的语音语调，增加对课文的理解巩固句型These tigers are____.学生在过程中运用所学形容词再结合自身认知描述老虎的特征。通过让学生充当动物解说员，根据动物图片描述动物特征，让学生猜动物，此环节既是巩固，也是为下一关学生自己涂色小组问答做语言铺垫。       学生给课堂中老师奖励的动物涂色，让孩子创建自己喜欢的动物园，并进行介绍Classroom Assessment教师准备关于动物的小粘贴，对于表现好的孩子进行发放，在涂色介绍和描述动物特征的环节里，可以让孩子拿着自己的小粘贴进行描述通过激励手段，调动学生学习积极性家庭作业：1.
