教材分析:本节课选自外研版新标准(一年级起点)一年级下册第七模块第一单元的内容。本节课主要通过谈论物品的数量与位置初步介绍“There be…”结构。
教学目标:
1、学生能理解本课新单词:there is, animal, can, see, there are, help, over there, table, we
2、全体学生能初步运用:there is, there are
3、培养学生关爱动物,乐于感知并积极尝试使用英语。
教学重难点:全体学生能用there is, there are描述事物的存在。
教学准备:课件、单词卡片、CD-ROM、粘贴等
教学过程:
Step 1 Warm up and Revision.
- Sing an English song.
- Greetings.
- Brain-storm. (animals)

Step 2 Lead in
- Describe the pictures.
Let the students feel how to use “there is, there are”.

- Introduce competitive mechanism(引入竞争机制:赢的奖励动物放在树上。)

- Picture of Activity One. Ask and answer.
How many elephants can you see?
How many tigers can you see?
- Watch the cartoon of activity one. And then repeat.
Step 3 Presentation
- Picture of Activity Two. Ask and answer.
How many cats can you see?

- Watch the video of activity two and answer the questions.. Who helps the cat? Then ask the students answer. Then ask again: Why Sam and Daming can't help the cat? Because…

- Listen and repeat. (A little teacher can point to the text.)
- Read the text by themselves and find the sentences with “There is…”

- Act out the text.
Step 4 Practice
- 看谁说的多!Practise “There is/ are…”
T: Let’s go to a room and working in pairs to say more sentences.

- Look and say! The students can describe the pictures.

Step 5 Summarize
Sum up what have learnt today.
