    UNIT 6  When was it invented?Section B (1a—1e)3课时设计说明本课时学习有关薯片的发明的相关对话。教学时通过一系列图片讨论美食的味道来导入新课,然后让学生讨论其他的有这种味道的食品,过渡到1a1b的活动中。通过不同的任务对听力材料加以处理,让学生多维度地利用听力材料。教学目标通过本课时的学习,让学生达成以下目标:1. 知识目标(1)单词:crispy , salty, sour, customer  (2)短语:by mistake, in the end (3)句子:Potato chips were invented by mistake. The customer thought the potatoes were not thin enough. Finally he put lots of salt on them so they were salty enough.2. 能力目标:(1)通过听说训练,了解薯条的发明历史;(2)学会使用被动语态谈论薯条的发明历史。3. 情感目标: 通过学习,了解中国的传统文化,培养民族自豪感。重点难点1.重点:本课时的重点单词、短语和句型。2.难点:运用被动语态的相关句型谈论某种美食的发明。教学准备PPT课件,1c, 1d的录音教学过程Step 1 Lead-inShow the students some pictures and talk about the four basic kinds of tastes. How do they taste? lemon : sour   ice-cream: sweet   coffee: bitter  salt : salty Get the students to name some food that are associated with the four tastes. Step 2 Work on 1a—1b The words in the box describe how food can taste. Write them under the correct pictures. Check the answers one by one. Answers: were invented; 1853; thin; crispy; really salty  5. Listen to the tape again and pay attention to passive voice (past tense). Step 4 Role-play. 1. Read the dialogue aloud for a few minutes by yourself.2. Role-play in groups.3. Role-play in front of the class. Step 5 Homework1. Preview the new words and expressions. 2.
