设计说明

本课时的主要活动是听与说。在对上节课的生词和短语进行复习之后，通过谈论各自将来的职业规划导入新课。接下来是听力练习，第一部分练习针对听力材料主要内容进行把握，第二部分练习针对关键信息进行捕捉并记录。然后让每位同学准备一篇毕业演讲，谈论自己初中以来的变化、学习收获和以后的打算，目的是提升学生运用英语的能力。最后通过设置相应的习题帮助学生检测学习效果。

教学目标

通过本课时的学习，让学生达成以下目标：

1.知识目标

(1)单词：degree，manager

(2)短语：believe in

(3)句型：①What do you hope to do in the future?

②I hope to get a business degree and become a manager.

2.能力目标

通过听力练习，提高捕捉主要信息和关键信息的能力；能够运用所学的功能语言谈论未来。

3.情感目标

从小建立职业规划意识并为之努力学习。

重点难点

重点：重点词汇、句型的运用；听力材料的理解和信息捕捉

难点：运用正确的句型谈论未来打算

Step 1　Revision

Get the students to write about what they would like to do in the future.

Work on 1b.

1. Ask the students to work in pairs. Read the conversation.

2. Get them to make up their own conversations and practice.

Step 3　Listening

Work on 1c and 1d.

Task 1

1. Ask the students to look at the pictures and tell what they are.

2. Play the recording and ask the students to check the hopes they hear.

Work in pairs. Talk about what Bob, Shirley, Ken and Anna hope to do in the future.

For example:

Step 4　Speaking

Work on 1e.

1. Ask the students to read the questions in the box and think about how to answers them.

2. Ask the students to prepare a speech for graduation. Use the questions to help.

3. Work in groups. Each member makes a speech.

4. Encourage some students to present their speeches to the whole class.

Step 5　Language points

我希望获得商科学位，成为一位经理。

degree 名词，意为“（大学）学位；度数；程度”。

It’s over 30 degrees outside.

3. They ask Mrs. Chen to come, and she is happy to accept the invitation.

他们请陈老师来（参加聚会），她愉快地接受了邀请。

辨析：accept与receive

The man asked the young woman to marry him and she accepted it.
