A recent survey has revealed that shrt-sightedness is n the rise amng Chinese students. The prblem has already affected a large number f students: 36% f primary schl students, mre than 70% f junir high students and ver 80% f senir high students suffer frm shrt-sightedness.
What causes shrt-sightedness is nt fully understd, althugh children may be at greater risk if their parents have the cnditin. Hw we actually use ur eyes seems t play a decisive rle. Fr example, activities like fcusing n a screen, whether that be a cmputer, televisin r smartphne, are tugh n ur eyes. Reading in pr light can als harm ur eyesight. It is als harmful t spend t much time indrs, as ur eyes need natural sunlight t be healthy.
Luckily, the situatin culd be imprved if we take measures t stp urselves becming shrt-sighted in the first place. We shuld take regular breaks frm ur study and g utside t give ur eyes a chance t get sme sunlight. We shuld als avid sitting t clse t a cmputer, smartphne r televisin screen. In additin, we shuld ensure prper lighting whenever we read, s that ur eyes d nt need t wrk t hard.
Hwever, if we d becme shrt-sighted, it is necessary t see an eye dctr and get glasses. It is my belief that with these measures, ur eye health wuld be greatly imprved.
