However, my hometown has changed a lot these years. Now there are many new squares, new roads and tall buildings. Every family has a colour TV at home. People have many machines to help them. For example, people washed clothes by hand in the past. But now they can use a washing machine.
The way people go to work has changed, too. In the past, people could only go to work by bicycle or on foot. There are many buses now. People can also take the taxi, the car, the underground or the light rail. It’s faster and easier to go to work now. After work, people can do some shopping in the shopping mall. At the weekend, people can go to the theatre or the museum. People’s lives become better and better, We are happy to live in the beautiful city.

Washing hands helps us remove germs(细菌). Germs are very tiny. Some germs can make us sick. Washing hands can stop the germs from spreading or getting inside your bodies. How to wash your hands?
First, turn on the tap and wash your hands.
Next, put some soap on your hands. Soap is very important for getting ride of the germs.
Then rub your hands together for 20 seconds to make lots of rubbles(泡沫)!
After that, wash your hands under the water again. Make sure to wash away the bubbles.
The last thing to do is to dry your hands. You could use a paper towel or a hand dryer, if you use a paper towel, do not forget to put it in the bin after you use it!

There is a great change in the way of communicating(交流方式) in people’s life. In ancients times(古代), people kept in touch(保持联系) with each other by writing letters. They used pigeons (鸽子) and horses to help them send letters. But it was very slow. It took a long time to receive the letters.
