本课内容的主题语境属于:人与社会------介绍体育赛事,邀请朋友参加体育运动。语篇类型为对话。学生不仅喜欢参加体育运动,而且对观看比赛非常感兴趣。教科书中呈现了电子竞技、“慈善跑”、马拉松、足球、羽毛球、拳击、滑雪、田径、器械健身等运动项目的场景,这些场景既包括了比较经典的运动项目,又包括了新奇、有趣的运动项目,并且还兼顾室内和室外、南方与北方的运动项目。该活动的主题意义是体现体育的趣味性,以及体育与现代科技的结合,体育与慈善事业的结合。
【What】听力文本包括两段对话。第一段对话中Shen Qi邀请Amy去观看电子竞技比赛,但Amy婉拒了。第二段对话中Adam邀请Julic去观看“Blue Paint”run,Julie欣然接受。
【How】两段听力均为对话,第一段对话中Shen Qi使用了这些邀请别人的语言:“Would you like to come along?”“Why don't you join us_?”。 Amy答复意请时使用“Really? I'd love to!”“Oh, sorry.”“T can't.”“T have to …”等表达。Adam使用“Wouldyou like to go?”向Amy发出邀请。Julie 接受邀请所使用的语言是:“That sounds like a great idea!”两段对话中都使用了附加疑问句,为本单元后面的语法学习作了铺垫。
【Why】该文本让学生结合语境,通过听和说的形式,学习提出邀请和答复邀请的语言功能项目。
学情分析
高一新生经过了多年英语的学习与积累,能够简单地说出熟悉的运动项目的名称,但是对教材中提到的部分运动可能不太熟悉,在描述运动海报时词汇比较缺乏;能够简单表达邀请等交际用语,但是可能没有系统地掌握该交际项目所需的语言表达。
教学目标
1. To listen for basic facts and the purpose of the conversations and make calculations from information heard.
2. To listen for emphasis and stress and intonation in a conversation and use tag questions to express feelings.
3. To learn to invite your friend to a sport event.

1. Listen to Conversation 2 and answer the questions.

l Why is it called a "Blue Paint" run?
l If 200 people take part in the run and 400 balloons are sold, how much money will they collect?
2. Read the conversation. Decide whether the intonation of the tag questions is rising or falling.
Dave: Wonderful gym, isn't it?
Jack: Er..… yes. It's great.
Dave: This isn't your first time here, is it?
Jack: Actually, it is. You come here often, don't you?
Dave: Yep. At least three times a week.
Jack: You' ve lost some weight, haven't you?
Dave: Yes. All that fat has become muscle now. If you want to lose weight, too,I recommend using the spin bike.
Jack: OK, but it won't make me too tired, will it?
Dave: Maybe at first, but you'll get used to it. I used to come here every day when I first started.
Jack: Oh, I don't have to come here every day, do l?
Dave: No. Of course not. It's up to you, isn't it?
