Module3 HeroesUnit 3 Language in use (1)一、教学目标1. 复习本模块的重点单词、短语和句子。 2. 能够熟练使用because，so和so that引导的状语从句的用法。3. 以英雄人物为榜样，学习英雄人物甘于奉献、永不放弃的精神。二、教学重点及难点重点：学习并掌握because，so和so that引导的状语从句的用法。难点：如何对because，so和so that引导的状语从句进行区分并能正确使用。三、教学准备多媒体课件四、教学过程Step Ⅰ RevisionT shows some key phrases and ask Ss to retell the story of Dr Norman Bethune. 设计意图：通过关键词帮助学生对已学文章进行复述，巩固语言点的同时，加强了语言运用能力。Step Ⅱ PresentationLanguage practice1. T has Ss find out all sentences with because, so or so that in the Unit 1 and Unit 2.2. T encourages volunteers to translate these sentences into Chinese. 3. Ss complete the sentences with because, so or so that and then check the answers.4. T encourages Ss to say what they find out and show the meanings of because, so and so that.Grammar points         原因状语从句如果从句表示的是主句行为的原因，就构成原因状语从句。原因状语从句由表示原因的连词引导，常用的是because。because 意为“因为”，表示直接的原因，语气最强。注意：why提问的句子，必须用because回答；because不能与so连用。         结果状语从句本模块中我们接触的结果状语从句是由so引导的，表示“由于某个行为而导致的结果”。         目的状语从句如果从句表示的是主句行为的目的，该从句就是目的状语从句。一般由so that 引导。目的状语从句有一个特点：由于目的是将来可能会实现的，所以从句中一般用表示未来可能性的词语，如could， will，can，would等。设计意图：通过练习和查找比较句子等让学生自主发现语法点，唤起学生对状语从句的知识记忆。再通过系统教学讲解，帮助学生加深该语法点内容。Step ⅡI PracticeGrammar Exercises1. T shows some exercises from the senior high school entrance examination.2. Ss finish the exercises and then check the answers in the whole class.设计意图：通过让学生做近年中考题巩固复习六种常用时态，检查学生对该语法点掌握情况的同时，也在体验中考题型的过程中加深对该语法点的巩固。Activity 11. Ss complete the passage with because, so or so that individually.2. T checks the answers as a whole class.3. T encourages volunteers to tell the story of Yury Gagarin to other Ss.Activity 21. Ss join the sentences with because, so or so that individually.2. T chooses some Ss to write down their answers on the blackboard and check with all Ss. 设计意图：语法讲解后进行语法练习，帮助学生及时巩固和检验对状语从句的掌握。Activity 31. T asks Ss to read the sentences in the table and make sure they know the meanings of these sentences. If necessary, T gives some help to Ss.2. T shows a conversation as a model and has Ss ask and answer in pairs.3. T encourages some pairs to act out their conversations.设计意图：通过小组合作，学生在交流过程中进行有关状语从句的口语输出，进一步巩固该语法知识。Activity 41.
