一、教学目标
1. 掌握本单元重点词汇和句型。
2. 能够读懂有关“独自在家”的短文并完成相关练习。
3. 能够熟练使用although引导的让步状语从句和so... that引导的结果状语从句。
4. 能够制作关于独自在家生活规划的小册子。
5. 培养学生的独立意识和安全意识,引导学生学会合理规划生活,学会感恩。

重点:

Step 1 Revision
1. Do some grammar exercises.
2. Rewrite the sentences with the words although or so... that.

Step 2 Leading-in
Free talk: What troubles did you have when you stayed at home alone?
【设计意图】通过自由讨论引入“独自在家”的话题,调动学生的积极性的同时,锻炼学生的口语表达能力。
Step 3 Practice
1. Listen and match the people with their activities.
【设计意图】通过简单的听力活动,继续加强对目标语言的运用。
2. Read the passage and complete the sentences.
3. Read the passage again and learn some key phrases.
4. Work in pairs and talk about home alone rules.
5. Read Around the world and answer the questions.
6. Show the basic rules and ask Ss to try to remember them.
【设计意图】掌握阅读理解技巧,锻炼提取细节信息的能力。
Step 4 Production
1. Work in Pairs and talk about the topics and make a list about how to live alone.
2. Work in pairs and choose a topic from the list and then make a leaflet for their topic.
3. Present their leaflets to the class.
4. Put all the leaflets together to make a class booklet.
【设计意图】通过结对合作活动,让学生在实际情境中,进一步熟悉本课时话题,实现运用本模块所学知识自由谈论“独自在家生活”相关话题的目标。

Do some exercises to consolidate what they have learned.

Step 6 Summary
Home alone rules:
1. Leave a contact telephone number.
2. Talk to the child about keeping safe at home and point out possible dangers.
3. Tell the child not to answer the door to strangers.
4. Give clear instructions about how to call the police, fire service or hospital.
5. Put obvious dangers out of reach of the child, for example, medicines and matches.
6. Tell the child when they will come back and make sure they are back on time.
【设计意图】带领学生梳理所学知识,方便学生课后巩固复习。
Step 7 Homework
1. Recite all the key words and phrases in this module.
2. Do more exercises to consolidate the grammar points in this module.
