    Module 6 ProblemsUnit 1 If I start after dinner, I’ll finish it before I go to bed. 一、教学目标1. 掌握以下词汇:deal, exam, fail, guitar, musical, habit, get into the habit of …, volunteer, shame, instead, instead of, point, consider, last word2. 正确运用以下句型:If I start after dinner, I’ll finish it before I go to bed.I want you to get into the habit of doing your homework as soon as you come home from school. That’s a shame.   No deal, Tony.   That’s not the point.   I’m sorry, but that’s my last word.3. 语法:能够正确运用if 引导的条件状语从句。4. 语音能够掌握if条件状语从句中的停顿。5. 能够听懂有关解决问题的对话并学会谈论某人在生活中遇到的问题以及如何解决。6. 通过学习和讨论,学会换位思考,理解家长的期望,合理分配学习和课外活动的时间。二、教学重点及难点重点:1. 能够掌握本单元词汇,听懂有关解决问题的对话。2. 能够理解运用含有if引导的条件状语从句。难点:1. 能够理解运用含有if引导的条件状语从句。2. 学会谈论某人在生活中遇到的问题以及如何解决。三、教学准备多媒体课件四、相关资源五、教学过程Step I Warm-up1. Free talkWhat problems do you have?2. T asks Ss to discuss and encourage them to give more ideas. 设计意图:通过谈论日常生活中的场景,即青少年所遇到的问题和烦恼,引起学生学习的好奇心和兴趣。Step II Pre-listeningTry to list some expressions, using the words in the box.  make deal, fail the exam, play the guitar, play the instrument设计意图:突破新短语,为学习新的内容做准备。Activity 1T: Now listen and decide what Tony’s problem is. Use the words in the box to help you. 1. T reminds Ss to read the words in the box and the three sentences first so they know what kind of information they are going to catch.  2. T plays the recording and asks Ss to listen and choose the correct item. 3. Check the answer.设计意图:通过听力练习引入本单元话题,并训练学生快速抓住关键信息的能力。Activity 21. Ask Ss to Listen again and check (√) the true sentences.2. Check the answers together. 设计意图:本活动使学生进一步抓住所听信息内容,熟悉本单元的主题。Step III While-listeningActivity 31. T plays the recording and asks Ss to listen and read.2. List the things Tony wants to do after school.Activity 41. Ss listen to the dialogue again and choose the correct answer.2. Check the answers together.设计意图:通过听力和阅读使学生抓住对话要点,进一步理解对话内容。Step IV Post-listeningT shows some key phrases and sentences and explain them to Ss.        get into the habit of doing sth.   养成做某事的习惯       That’s a shame.  那很遗憾/很可惜。       No deal, Tony.   托尼,这不行。       That’s not the point.   那不是问题的关键。       I’m sorry, but that’s my last word.   抱歉,这是我的最终决定。设计意图:讲解语言点,使学生掌握本单元重点词汇和句子的用法。Cultural BackgroundIntroduce the generation gap and its cause to Ss.设计意图:通过介绍代沟及其成因相关知识,让学生学会处理与父母的代沟矛盾,遇到问题要及时沟通。Grammar pointsT analyzes one of the sentences in the dialogue and explains the structure of if-clause, meanwhile Ss are given some exercises to consolidate the use of it. T also points out some important expressions in the dialogue.设计意图:通过练习使学生掌握和巩固所学重点词汇的用法。Activity 51. Ask Ss to read the words in the box aloud to make sure they can read the words correctly and understand the meaning of the words. 2. Ask Ss to complete the passage with the words in the box.3. Check the answers.Activity 61. Ask Ss to read the sentences and pay attention to where they pause.  2. Ask Ss to listen to the recording and mark the pauses of the sentences. 3. Ask Ss to read again in a correct way.4. Ask Ss to listen again and repeat. 设计意图:语音练习使学生掌握朗读的停顿、语调和规律,培养抑扬顿挫的语感。Activity 71. T: Now work in pairs. Talk about the problems you have with your school work and your parents.2. T: Now try to give your partner advice and solutions to the problems. 3. Work in pairs. Now make short dialogues.设计意图:学生在学习和练习的基础上进行语言输出,强化了本课的主要内容,加深了学生的印象。Exercises1. 我已养成一到家就做作业的习惯。(get into the habit of)2. 你考虑过如何到那儿吗?(consider)3. 咱们别看电视,打扑克吧。(instead of)If you are ill, ___________.
