一、教学目标

1. 学习了解柏拉图和他的著作《理想国》。

2. 总结和使用一般现在时态的被动语态。

3. 能够谈论自己读过的书籍并发表自己的观点。

4. 继续了解中西方名著及其作者的相关知识不断丰富学识和提高自身素质。

四、教学过程

Step I Revision

1. Ss translate the following phrases into Chinese.

(1) 为……写评论 _________________     

(2) 遇上麻烦 __________________

(3) 合情理，有意义 _________________ 

(4) 从……逃离_________________

(5) 在19世纪________________________

(6) 对……感到满意  ______________

设计意图：帮助学生复习巩固本模块的重要短语。

2. T helps Ss sum up the usage of the passive voice.

         概念：英语动词有两种语态，即主动语态（Active Voice）和被动语态（Passive Voice）。

当主语为动作的执行者时，谓语的形式为主动语态；当主语为动作的承受者时，谓语要用被动语态。

         构成：被动语态由“主语+be+及物动词的过去分词”构成。

         主动语态变被动语态：

(1) 将主动句中的宾语成分变为被动句中的主语成分，若主动句中的宾语是人称代词，要将宾格变为主格。

(2) 把主动句中的主语变为被动句中的宾语，主格代词变为宾格代词,并做by的宾语。

(3) 谓语动词变成相应的被动形式。

设计意图：通过复习本模块语法知识，帮助学生及时巩固上节课所学的内容。

Activity 6

1. T shows the pictures of different kinds of books and talk with Ss.

—Which one do you think is the most interesting to read?

2. Ss listen and check (√) the books that Daming likes.

3. Ss listen again and check the answers.

设计意图：本活动仍然围绕着本模块的话题展开，通过完成有关大明介绍自己喜欢的书的听力任务，为下一个活动的语言输出作好铺垫。

Activity 7

Ss work in pairs and talk about the best stories to read.

设计意图：要求学生谈论自己喜欢的故事，目的是让学生运用所学句型来口头表达自己的观点和看法。

3. Ss read again and fill in the blanks.

Step III Production

Module task：Organising a class talk

Activity 8

Group work:

Ss work in groups to prepare a talk, they should do the following tasks:

1. Read the statement: We are more influenced by films than books.

2. Think of some films or books you have seen or read. How did they influence you?

3. Decide on your point of view. Do you agree or disagree with the statement?

4. Make notes about why you agree or disagree with the statement.

Activity 9

T asks Ss to plan their talks:

1. Plan what they want to say.

2. Make notes about their ideas.

Activity 10

T encourages Ss to present their talks to the class.

* Tell your audience what your opinion is.

Start with “We believe that…”

* Explain what some people say, but you disagree with.

Some people think that…

They argue that…

In their opinion…

* Explain your opinion, with reasons and examples.

However, we think that…because…Also…

* Repeat your opinion and give a conclusion.

设计意图：通过第一、二单元的学习，学生已经学会使用某些句型来表达自己的观点了。本部分的任务可以说是一个归纳复习和展示的过程，要求学生运用所学语言进行真实交际。
