Teaching procedures 教学过程
Step 1 Pre-Christmas Party
1. Listen and guess: Jingle bells
(1) T: What holiday is the song about?
(2) T: How to greet others at Christmas?
2. Introduce a puppet friend to the students.
T: We’ll have a Christmas Party and I invite a new friend.
(1) T’s Introduction: Hello, I’m Jenny. Look at my puppet. (PPT呈现puppet信息表)
(2) Say something about my puppet and fill in the blanks.
S: Her name is Angel. Her T-shirt is blue and her skirt is yellow. She’s pretty.
3. Show students’ puppet friends:
T: If you want to be the party Queen or King, please finish two tasks below.
(1) Task A: Finish the table on P56
(2) Task B: Talk about your puppets.
S: Hello, I’m Lucy. I’m a pretty girl. Look at my dress. It’s colorful. It’s nice.

- Choose a scene and perform a puppet show in groups.

说课
本课继续了第一课时的圣诞派对主题,将教材中Project 2的四个步骤融入该主题下并进行了丰富。首先以介绍新朋友的形式引入puppets,然后教师安排了三个派对活动并提供句型供学生拿puppets扮演使用,教材中的D步骤安排为puppets圣诞派对结束后的活动。本节课主要是教师创设场景,学生分小组讨论并进行扮演活动。为了充分利用课堂时间进行活动,教师可以提前安排学生在课前自制玩偶带到课堂上。
