The Development of Electric Cars
Electric cars may seem like a recent invention, but they have been around for years. In the early 1900s，there were 31 electric cars on the road than gasoline（汽油）cars, because at that time, gasoline was expensive than other fuels（燃料）, and electric cars were more popular.

To Borrow Arrows with Thatched Boats
One day, Zhou Yu asked Zhuge Liang to make 100,000 arrows（箭）in ten days. Zhou Yu thought it was impossible, but Zhuge Liang said, “Give me three days.” Then he asked Lu Su to lend him 20 boats, and the soldiers put some scarecrows（稻草人）in line on the boats. When Lu Su came again to see Zhuge Liang, he found nothing unusual. Nothing happened on the second day, either. On the early morning of the third day, Zhuge Liang invited Lu Su for a boat ride. In August, 2021, some new rules came out to restrict（限制）young people’s online game time. People under the age of 18 can only play online games three hours a week. What makes the Qatar（卡塔尔）World Cup different?
The FIFA World Cup is the world’s biggest international soccer tournament（比赛）and also the most-watched sporting event in the world. There are 32 teams competing to win. This year’s tournament looks very unique（独特的）. What makes it different from the ones before?
Air-conditioned open air stadiums, women referees（裁判员）and many Chinese representatives（元素）- all things that make the Qatar World Cup different from other world cups.
For starters, it’s the first time the tournament has been held in the Middle East after Qatar beat other host competitors - the US, South Korea, Japan and Australia back in 2010. It’s also the first time in history the tournament is happening during the Northern Hemisphere（北半球）winter months, from November 20 to December18.
That’s because Qatar is a desert（沙漠）country, and in summer the temperature can be as high as 42℃. That’s too hot to play outdoor sports. But it will still be pretty warm in winter. The temperature in the stadium is expected to be around 20℃ to 30℃. Air conditioning will help to keep it cooler.

What makes the Qatar（卡塔尔）World Cup different?
The FIFA World Cup is the world’s biggest international soccer tournament（比赛）and also the most-watched sporting event in the world. There are 32 teams competing to win. This year’s tournament looks very unique（独特的）. What makes it different from the ones before?
Air-conditioned open air stadiums, women referees（裁判员）and many Chinese representatives（元素）- all things that make the Qatar World Cup different from other world cups.
