“Recently work in cognitive science(认知科学) has showed that knowing is just a little part of the battle for most real-world decisions” scientists Laurie Santas and Tamar Gendler wrote for Edge.org. 26 There are some steps you can take to help you turn your “knowing” into “doing”.
First whether you want to improve your study habits, eat healthier food or get more sleep you should write your goals down.
Next break down your goals so that they are easier to be managed(管理). 27 That will help encourage you to keep moving forward and finish more of these small goals.

The ancient round fans have different shapes which are made according to their own preferences. Palm leaf (棕桐) fans were cheap and easy to make. Feather fans (羽毛扇) can be used only by the rich. Sandalwood (檀香) fans could send out a sweet smell.
Later, hand fans became far more than just something that could cool you down. They developed into artworks in which tuanshan (round fans) and zheshan (folded fans) were the most common. Dear Frank,
I hear that you have some trouble in your study now. Now I am writing to give you some advice. I know you have set a goal in your study. But it’s no use setting a goal without doing anything. Knowing is necessary but doing is more important. Do you know Ruth? You should take action now, just like Ruth did during the global pandemic. He tried to find something nice even in the most serious situation, so you should do something without hesitate.
Firstly, you should make a study plan properly and be strict with yourself. Secondly, you should stay away from electronic products. They are bad for your eyes and sleep. Thirdly, it is difficult to avoid difficulties and failures but for a better future we have to think of more ways to improve ourselves. It’s worth working hard. It’s impossible to achieve your dream if you don’t try your best. Finally, you’d better communicate with your parents and friends. They will understand your feelings and give you some advice.
Hope my advice will be of some help.
Yours,
Li Hua
