Martin Luther King was a great man wh fught t win equal rights fr black peple in the US. He suffered racial discriminatin when he was very yung. In 1943, he was asked t give his seat t white peple n the bus. But he didn’t want t give up his seat. In 1955, he rganised a bus prtest and wn the right fr black peple t sit next t white peple n buses. After this victry, he rganised further prtests in the 1960s. In 1963, he rganised a march t Washingtn, D.C. and gave an impressive and inspiring speech with the wrds “I have a dream”. The next year, King received the Nbel Peace Prize. But, unfrtunately, he was killed a few years later in 1968. It was a great lss.

I: Hell. I’m sure everyne knws abut Martin Luther King – a great man wh fught t win equal rights fr black peple in the US. Tday, we have Dr. Sam Rberts here t tell us mre abut him. S what was King like as a child?
R: Well, he was a smart by, but he suffered racial discriminatin.
I: Racial discriminatin?
R: That’s when peple were treated unfairly due t their skin clur. Here’s an example. In 1943, King tk the bus with his black teacher. The white driver tld them t give their seats t tw white peple.
R: King didn’t want t give up his seat. He believed that black peple shuld be treated the same as white peple. Hwever, in the end, they had t d it.
I: Ah, what a shame! Did he d anything abut this later?
R: Yes. In 1955, King rganised a bus prtest, and asked all black peple t stp taking buses. After sme struggles, they wn the right t sit next t white peple n buses. This was King’s first victry.
I: Great! And King rganised further prtests in the 1960s, right?
I: What? What did he d then?
I: Yes, that’s a really famus and inspiring speech! Fr example, “I have a dream that ne day ... We hld these truths t be self-evident: that all men are created equal ... I have a dream that my fur little children will ne day live in a natin where they will nt be judged by the clur f their skin but by the cntent f their character ...”
R: Very impressive indeed! The next year, King received the Nbel Peace Prize. But, unfrtunately, he was killed a few years later in 1968. It was a great lss.
