教学目标： At the end of the class, the students will be able to: 1. practice the usage of anyone, someone, everyone, anything, something, everything and nothing. 2. learn new words: something, nothing, everyone, myself, yourself, hen, pig, seem, bored, someone, diary… 3. sum up the simple past tense.
教学重点： 1. Key vocabulary: hen, pig, seem, bored, someone, diary… much to do,nothing much to do, seem to be, keep a diary, in our group... 2. Key sentences: a. I bought something for my father. b. Why didn't you buy anything for yourself?
教学难点： The usage of the compound indefinite pronoun.

Step 1 Lead-in (PPT 3)		ave a free talk about the vacation activities with: Where did you go on your vacation? Did you go to the zoo? Were there any…? What else did you do?				设计这个自由谈话引入本节课的语法。该活动旨在为语法讲解做铺垫，引导学生学习相关语法知识。
Step 2 Presentation (PPT 4-28)		1. Show the Grammar Focus and work on Grammar Focus. 2. Ask Ss to read the sentences in this part and pay attention to the simple past tense. 3. Explain rules of the tense and practice them.				总结这些句子的特点并讲解一般过去时的特殊疑问句形式、一般疑问句形式、动词的过去形式变化规则以及过去式的发音规则。
Step 3 The compound indefinite pronoun (PPT 29-33)		1. Ask Ss to read the sentences in this part and pay attention to the compound indefinite pronoun. 2. Explain rules of the compound indefinite pronoun.				本部分主要讲解复合不定代词的用法, 主要讲解复合不定代词的构成，形容词修饰不定代词后置等等。
Step 4 Practice (PPT 34-38)		Work on 3a. 1. Ask Ss to read the words in the box. 2. Make students pay attention to the conversation and have them complete it individually. 3. Check the answers. 4. Lead Ss to read this conversation and work in pairs to role－play the conversation. Work on 3b. 1. Make Ss fill in the blanks in the e-mail message with the words in the box. 2. Check the answers and then make Ss practice reading it. Work on 3c. Ask Ss to work in groups to ask questions about their last vacation.
