1. Lead in 分别呈现星期单词,区分周一到周五和周末。Show the seven words on the PPT. T: Do you go to school from Monday to Friday? Ss: Yes, we do. T: So they are days for school. How about Saturday and Sunday? Do you go to school on the weekend? Ss: No, we don’t. T: They are days for fun. What do you often do on the weekend? Ss: ... Let students think of more activities. Encourage them to express their opinions. T: Let’s learn some phrases about activities first. 2. New phrases(单词学习) (1)教授短语play football。Teach the phrase“play football”. Show the picture of a teacher with the question “What do you often do on the weekend?”. Then show the picture of “ play football”. Ask students to say the name of this physical activity. Lead students to speak out the phrase “play football”. Lead students to read them three times and do the corresponding actions at the same time. And say “I often play football on the weekend.” Write down the phrases “play football (foot + ball=football)” on the blackboard. T: What other sports can you play? Ss: ... (Show the pictures of football, basketball, baseball and ping-pong) Ask students to observe carefully and find out their spelling rules. (2)教授剩下四个活动短语。Teach the other four words in the same way: read books/do homework/watch TV/wash clothes. (3)火眼金睛。Lead students to look and say the words/sentences as quickly as they can. 3. Let’s learn (1)呈现Let's learn图片,看图回答问题。Show the picture of Amy and Chen Jie in “Let’s learn” without the dialogue and the phrases on the PPT. Ask students to look and say: Who are they? What do they often do on the weekend? Ask students to guess Chen Jie’s weekend activity with the sentence pattern “—Do you often ______ on the weekend? —Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.” Then play the recording of the dialogue between Amy and Chen Jie. (2)呈现Let's learn中五个短语图片。Show all the five pictures of the new phrase in “Let’s learn” one by one. Play the recording. Let students read after the recording. (3)操练短语。Ask students to close their books. Each time the teacher reads a phrase, students do the corresponding action. Then ask one student to do actions, and the others try to guess the corresponding phrases. (4)播放视频跟读。Play the video of “Let’s learn”. Watch and repeat. 4. Let’s chant 跟唱歌谣。Show the chant on the PPT. Lead students to read and chant. Practice. 5. Look and say (1)呈现教室场景。Show the pictures of Chen Jie and Sarah in the classroom. Look and practice the dialogue according to the different pictures. T: Do you often wash your clothes on the weekend? Ss: Yes, I do. T: Do you often play football on the weekend? Ss: No, I don’t. T: Do you ... ? Ss: Yes, I do./ No, I don’t. 6. Group work 创设教室场景,小组合作操练句型。 Create a situation in the classroom on the PPT. Let students to work in pairs with the sentence pattern“—Do you often ______ on the weekend? —Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.” Then invite some pairs to act it out. | ||||

1. Group work Show the pictures of Wu Binbin, Chen Jie and Oliver on the PPT. Ask a question “What do they often do on the weekend?” Let students read “Group work” and find out the answers. Show the corresponding answers below the pictures of the three characters. 2. Practice the dialogue Stress the sentence patterns “—What do you often do on the weekend? —I often … on the weekend.” Let students work in pairs. One student asks the question “What do you often do on the weekend?” The other student chooses a role and answers the question with the corresponding sentence.
