ChatGPT was released late last year by company Open AI. The technology chats in a conversational way, answering questions from users. The online chatbot (chat robot) has been trained on lots of information from the Internet—it can have a human-like conversation answering questions.
Experts say it can be used to write articles, stories, poems and even solve computer problems. But there are limits to what it can do, which Open AI admits. Sometimes it writes answers which are incorrect or don’t make sense, and it sometimes guesses what the user has asked it instead of asking more follow-up questions to understand the questions better.
ChatGPT is getting mixed opinions in terms of learning. Some think students might use it to cheat, while others think they should use the tool in the classroom to help children learn. Some people believe that ________. In their opinion, just like when the calculator was created, people were unsure at first, but if teachers introduce the technology and teach students how to use it, that can help with their learning.
Even though ChatGPT can answer questions which may be able to help students out with homework, it might not always give the correct facts. This is because its main purpose is to create sentences that could have been written by a human—rather than searching on the Internet for facts. This means it can sometimes get things wrong, which wouldn’t be good for homework!
However, ChatGPT still has a long way to go. The developers of it and other chat robots using AI are always looking for ways of improving their accuracy(准确性).

The kite is a symbol of Chinese handicraft(手工艺). Flying a kite is a very popular activity in China. And kite-flying is now believed to be good for the health.
The Chinese kite first appeared in the wars of the Spring and Autumn Period over 2,000 years ago. Mo Zi spent three years building a wooden kite but it failed after flying for a day. Then craftsman Lu Ban made the kite with thin wood and bamboo. And it had the bird’s name of  “Yuan”. After the Han dynasty(朝代), paper was introduced into the kite-making. So the kite got the name “Zhi Yuan”, as “Zhi ” in Chinese means paper. In the late Tang dynasty, people added strings (琴弦)to kites. When wind came, those kites would sound like guzheng, thus getting the name of “Fengzheng”.
As “the World Kite Capital”, Weifang in Shandong province once made a kite over 300 meters long and in the shape of a centipede(蜈蚣)with a dragon’s head. The kite won first place in the International Kite Festival in Italy. Now Weifang International Kite Festival is held from 20th to 25th in April every year. It draws(吸引)many fans around the world.
If you are interested in flying a kite, choose a sunny and windy day to enjoy the open air with your family.

Type in “A cat wants to go to space” and ask the robot to write a bedtime story. Just one second later, you’ll get the story of Max, who clawed his way past many difficulties to sing among the stars.
This robot writer is real. It’s called ChatGPT. US company OpenAI developed it to produce human-like texts. It can translate languages, talk with people and write songs, poems and even jokes. It’s one of the most powerful AI of its kind, with the complete writing range(范围) of a real person!

The power of ChatGPT lies in its speed and understanding of complicated (复杂的) matters. We may spend hours researching, understanding and writing an article on the theory of evolution(进化论). But ChatGPT can produce a well-written one in seconds. Another good thing about it is that if you ask dark, harmful questions, such as how to make weapons(武器), it will not give you an answer.
ChatGPT also cause a lot of problems. For example, the materials they create are difficult to tell from those made by humans. This causes many issues (问题), such as the issue of copyright and the definition of art. And because it allows people to access information easily, some people’s jobs could become much easier. This could result in many people losing their jobs or being paid less. Besides, scientists were also worried about that AI would become too powerful. This famous poem was written by Du Fu 712—770, Tang Dynasty. When he found himself alone in Chang’an now Xi’an, having no hope for his country. Du Fu was born in 712 in Gongyi, he loved to read. “When I was in my seventh year, my mind was already full of heroic things. When I was in my ninth year, I first began to red my poems in public.” he wrote.
In Du Fu’s teens, his family was rich enough to allow him to go traveling. China then was at the height of wealth under the amazing emperor Xuanzong of Tang. Among all the places Du Fu visited, there was a special one—Qufu (曲阜孔子). The teachings of Confucius were Du Fu’s basic ideas all his life. For Du Fu, his main goal of life was to help the emperor realize social stability. There were no big or sudden changes and people lived happily and worked without fighting or disagreeing with one another. But however much he wanted to achieve the goal, he was completely helpless. His dream of using power and fame was broken into a thousand pieces. When Du Fu was about 30, came the meeting that changed his life with the poet Li Bai. Li Bai gave him a lot of inspiration in the art of poetry. But their poems were different. Li Bai’s poems were usually about nature, while Du Fu’s generally dealt with themes such as history and how people must live according to Confucianism.
In mid-December 755, a huge rebellion (叛乱) led by An Lushan broke out. After that Du Fu’s life was made up of short stops at different places. Through ups and downs, pouring out his worries about the country and people as well as celebrating simple joys of life. In 77, he died on a riverboat between Danzhou now Changsha, Hunan province. But the cause of his death is still unknown.
Du Fu lived through the fall of China’s fantastic Tang dynasty. He wrote many poems to express feelings of the ordinary people, especially for the poor. He is better than anyone else at reflecting history in his works. As Shakespeare (莎士比亚) is to literature (文学), so is the poet Du Fu to literature in Chinese.

    My Favorite Historical Person
In the long history of China, there are many famous historical persons. A great number of historical figures have made great contributions to the society and some of them really impressed themselves on our memory.
As for me, my favorite historical person is Zhuge Liang, a famous politician with great achievement in literature in the Three Kingdoms period. His intelligence is acknowledged by the Chinese. He helped Liu Bei to get over the emergencies and successfully established Shu. Moreover, various articles written by him have been passed on until now, impressing me with his loyalty and huge amount of knowledge. Therefore, I regard loyalty as the most valuable quality and always keep on learning to be a knowledgeable person. At the same time, I also learn his wisdom to help more people.
There used to be a lot of people who had outstanding thoughts and great achievements. They are our most precious wealth. We should learn from them.
