    Talk about a past event about one’s vacation.

    Step 1 Greetings

    Greet the whole class and then invite some students to role-play 2c to have a review.

     

    Greet the teacher; Role play 2c.

    Warm the class and have a review.

    Step 2 Practice

    Listen to the tape and answerWhere did Helen go on vacation?Where did Helen go on vacation?Where did Helen go on vacation?

    2. Explain some language points for the students.

    3. Invite some pairs to role-play the conversation.

    1.Read the passage in 2d, answer the questions.

    2.Role-play the conversation.

    Develop students’ skills of reading and communication.

     

    Step 3 Presentation

    The teacher invites some students to translate the sentences. Ask students to read the sentences together.

    Translate and read the sentences.

     

     

    Learn the language point of this unit.

     

    Step 4 Practice

    1. Let students finish the 3a by themselves. Then check the answers with the students together.

    2. Let students read together (explain the reflexive pronouns to students; it’s a pronoun which means somebody’s own).

    3. Ask students complete the e-mail message with the correct words in the box and check the answers.

    4. Let students read the message and ask them to pay attention to indefinite pronouns, especially anything and everything.

    Finish 3a & 3b.

     

     

    To make students understand the language points better.

    Step 5 Groupwork

    1. Encourage students to work in groups of four and do the survey of 3c.

    2. Let the leader of the group tell the class the results of his or her group like this: In our group, everyone ate something at a restaurant....

     

    Work in a group and make a survey.

     

     

     

     

     

    1.Master Indefinite pronouns.

    2.Develop students’ speaking skills.

     

     

    Step 6 Summary

    1. Make a summary of the points in this part.

    2. Check the answers of the guidance case.
