一、教材及学情分析:
本单元围绕谈论喜欢的音乐,自然地呈现本单元的重点语言结构——定语从句。Section A要求学生掌握与音乐和电影相关词汇,能够通过听和读获取有关音乐和电影的相关信息,了解以that,which,who引导的定语从句在不同语境中的功能和作用,并能用英语表达自己喜欢的音乐和电影。同时这部分还复习学生已经学过的有关音乐和电影方面的词汇以及表示喜好或描述性词汇。Section A的教学重点是学会that,which,who引导的定语从句结构,并用来完整地表达自己对音乐和电影的喜好。这部分的难点是让学生理解定语从句与先行词之间的修饰关系。Section B在Section A的基础上进一步拓展话题,让学生能够运用所学结构谈论其他喜好,阅读部分还涉及到中国的民间音乐及音乐家,也增添了与音乐相关的词汇和表达句式。这部分的重点是运用noting supporting details的阅读策略对文本进行解读,了解音乐评价类文章的特点。这部分的难点是运用具体信息描写事物。

Grammar 定语从句是指在复合句中作定语的从句,定语从句所修饰的词叫先行词。 定语从句通常放在先行词的后面,由关系代词或关系副词引导。本课我们将学 习由关系代词that或which及who引导的定语从句。 that, which, who 引导的定语从句 that , which 和who是定语从句中重要的引导词。下面的例句是由that , which和who引导的定语从句。请仔细观察,补全结论部分所缺内容。 e.g. A plane is a machine that can fly. (作主语,指物) That is the hotel that I know. (作宾语,指物) Who is the man that is reading a book over there? (作主语,指人) The girl that we saw yesterday is Sara’s sister. (作宾语,指人) 【结论】 that在从句中作主语或宾语,可以指___,也可以指______。 温馨提示:关系代词在定语从句中作宾语时可以省略。 e.g. China is a country which / that has a long history.
