Known as the birthplace of kites, Weifang in Shandong Province has a long history of making kites. Weifang kitemaking skill was included in the nationallevel intangible (非物质的) cultural heritage list in 2006. The International Kite Festival has been held in Weifang every year since 1984.
Yang Hongwei, 57, is an inheritor (传承人) of Weifang kitemaking skill. She was born in a kitemaking family. Yang often saw kites in bright colours and different shapes in her grandfather's workshop.

Our school is going to hold the Lingnan Culture Festival on November 12, 2023, which will be held in the auditorium of the school.
