Step 1 Revision

1. Introduce themselves in English.

2. Make dialogues by working in pairs.

A: Hello, my name is… What’s your name?

B: Hi, my name is… Nice to meet you.

A: Nice to meet you too.

设计意图：通过自我介绍以及组内练习对话的形式，调动学生所学知识，活跃课堂气氛，使学生尽快投入到课堂学习中去。

Step 2 Presentation

Around the world

1. Look at two names and distinguish the family name and the given name.

2. Distinguish the family name and the given name of these names: David Beckham, Kobe Bryant and Li Xiaolong (Bruce Lee).

3. Discuss the differences between the Chinese name and the English name by working in pairs.

4. Read the passage Around the world.
