(一)导入新课,板书课题
导入语:Good morning, class. How are you? Today, we are going to learn:

(二)出示学习目标 过渡语:First ,let’s read the learning goals together.

探究三:Language Points
1.辨析:stupid, foolish, silly: (1)stupid表示“愚蠢的”。 指“智力差的,反应迟钝的”. (2)foolish 指“无头脑的,缺乏常识的,缺乏判断能力的”. (3) silly 指“头脑简单的,不懂事的,傻头傻脑的”。Mary made a stupid mistake.玛丽犯了一个愚蠢的错误。
It was a foolish thing to fight with his neighbour.和他的邻居打架是一件蠢事。
You are a silly child.你这个傻孩子。(并无太多的贬义)
2.impossible为形容词,意为“不可能的”。impossible是由形容词possible加否定前缀im-构成的。在英语中,形容词的否定前缀有un-,in-,im-,ir-,dis-等。有些形容词加上相应的前缀,就构成其反义词,这种构词法称为词缀法或派生法。It is impossible for me to finish all the work today.对我来说今天完成所有的工作是不可能的。
3.weak作形容词,在本句中表示“( 能力等 )弱的,差的”,后接 at/in sth., be weak in/at表示“在……方面比较薄弱”,同义词组是 be bad at/in,反义词组是 be good at/in。weak points意为“缺点,弱项”。He was weak in math,but good at English.他数学差,但擅长英语。
4.be hard on…表示“对……苛刻,对……严厉”。
Don’t be too hard on him.He is very young.别对他太苛刻了。他还很小呢。
One shouldn’t be too hard on himself.一个人不应该太为难自己。
- 辨析:learn from 和learn by:
(1) learn from 向……学习;从……中吸取教训是指从某处或者某人那里学到知识。常用于:learn from sb.向某人学习 learn from mistakes 从错误中吸取教训
We learned many things from him.我们向他学习了很多东西。
(2) learn by 通过……的方式学习;以……的方法学习 是指以某种方式、方法学到某种知识。常用于learn by doing sth.通过做某事来学习 learn...by oneself 自学……
Tom learned English by himself.汤姆自学的英语。
