1.【辨析】stop doing sth; stop to do sth
(1) stop doing sth 指“停止正在做的事情”(2)stop to do sth 指“停止正在做的事去做另外一件事。[练一练]:根据提示完成句子。
She stopped talking when she heard the song. 当她听到这首歌时停止了说话。
Although the doctor was very tired, he didn’t stop to have a rest.尽管这位医生很累,但是他并没有停下来去休息。
2.【辨析】spend , take , pay , cost
(1)spend 表示“花费(时间、金钱),过去式spent,主语是人的名词或代词。
常用句型:sb. spend some time/money(in) doing ,(介词in可以省略)或者sb. spend some time/money on sth. 介词on后接名词或代词。
如:We spent a week in visiting Beijing.我们花了一周的时间游览北京。
I spent 4,000 yuan on a computer last week. 上周我花了四千元买了一台电脑。
(2)take 意为“花费(时间)“,过去式took,
常用句型为 It takes sb. some time to do sth.意为“花费某人多少时间做某事” 如:
It takes me two hours to do my homework every day. 做作业每天花费我两小时的时间。 (3)pay表示“花费(金钱)”,过去式paid, 主语是人,句型:pay…for sth.
如:I paid eighty yuan for the English dictionary. 我花了八十元买了这本英语字典。
(4)cost 表示“花费(金钱)”,过去式cost , 主语是物, 句型:sth. cost sb. some money
如: This coat cost me 200 yuan. 这件大衣花了我二百元。

3.【辨析】lend, borrow, keep
(1)lend (lent, lent) 指“借出”表示 “把某物借给某人” 即:lend sth to sb =lend sb sth
(2) borrow (borrowed, borrowed) 指“借入”表示“向某人借某物”即:borrow sth from---
(3) keep (kept, kept) 指“保留,保存”为延续性动词,常与“for+时间段”连用。
四、训练环节(13分钟)Ⅰ.用所给词的适当形式填空
