Step1, Revision

1,Have a free talk like this:

-How is the weather today?

-It is a sunny day.

-How was the weather last weekend?

-It was rainy.

2,Let students recite the Grammar Focus

Step2 3a

1, Let students finish the job by themselves.

2, Check the answers.

3, Ask students to read the conversations and try to make the similar conversations,

Step3, 3b

1, Review the regular verbs and irregular verbs,

2, Let students read the passage and find out the verbs and their past forms, then check the answers,

3, Ask students to complete the passage with the correct forms of the verbs in the box and check the answers.

Step4, 3c

1, Divide the whole class into groups. Each group discuss what they did last weekend. The leader of the group chooses one thing and draws it on the blackboard.

2, Let the leader of the group tell the class what they did last weekend,like this:

Tom went to the beach and went boating. Jack went to the cinema and visited his grandparents, etc.
