Help the students understand the new words and phrases.2. Make the students know how to ask and answer the day and date.3. Practice speaking and listening skills.Teaching Aids:Computer, handoutsTeaching MethodTask-based method, Pair work, Group workTeaching Procedures:Step1: Warming-upAsk students to match pictures and sentences in group.Check the answers.Underline the words of the day  (Purposes: 1.Arouse Ss’interest.2.Elicit the topic.3.Involve the Ss)Step2: Learn new words and phrases.Use a timeline to make the students understand the meanings of the new words and phrases and learn to use them (the day before yesterday, yesterday, today, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow).Read words and phrases after the teacher, and then read by themselves.(Purpose: Help the students know the differences of words and phrase more easily)Step3: 1b-1cFill in the form with the correct dates.Ask and answer about the dates according to the information in the form by using the pattern in pair.  — What’s today    — It’s Tuesday the19th.— What was yesterday    — It was Monday the18th.— What’s tomorrow    — It’s Wednesday the20th.Role-play to show dialogues.(Purposes: Help the students master the sentence patterns about asking dates. .And practice speaking skills)Step4: 1d-1e  Practice listeningGuide the students to look at the picture on the textbooks and catch some information about the listening material. Listen and check.Ask the students to look through the information of 1e. Try to understand their meanings.Learn the phrase “look after”Listen and check 1e.Retell the main content of the conversation.(Purposes: Help the students grasp the key points of listening. Retelling makes the students more familiar the content. And practice listening skills) Step5: Listen for the specific information.Listen and fill in the blanks.(Purpose: Practice listening skills for grasping specific information.)Step6: Ss try to talk about themselves by finishing the mind-map.According to the mind-map, students write down their answers first. Then ask and answer.(Purpose: Students use what they learn to express themselves.) Step7: Summarize
