一、教学目标 

1. 复习巩固本模块所学词汇及现在进行时和一般现在时的用法。

2. 能运用所学写一封信介绍春节。

3. 使学生乐于了解其他国家的重大节日；加深对本国文化的理解与认识。

2. 能够用现在进行时询问和表达正在发生的事情。

3. 能够用一般现在时和现在进行时写一封信介绍春节。

Step 1 Warm-up

1. Sing a song—Jingle Bells

2. Talk about Father Christmas.

3. Brainstorming—Christmas

设计意图：通过图片和视频歌曲导入，吸引学生注意力，调动学生的学习热情。

Learn the grammar

Step 3 Practice

1. Do the grammar exercises and check the answers together.

2. T lets Ss read the passage in Around the world and answer the questions.

3. T asks Ss to check the answers in pairs and then elicits the answers.

4. Ss read and translate the passage.

设计意图：阅读了解英语国家的重要节假日及主要庆祝方式，有助于学生理解和使用英语。

1. Ss work in pairs, asking and answering questions about what their family members are doing for Spring Festival at the moment.

2. T invites some pairs to present their conversations.

1. Ss organize their notes under the given headings.

2. T elicits some examples from the whole class.

1. T looks at the model letter layout with Ss and discusses it with them.

2. Ss write a letter on their own. T reminds them that they can put ideas together with “and”.
